Yeah...Kaplan says Increased brancing has decreased mp...but, EK says that increased branching had increased mp.

For alkanes, branched ones can have lower or higher MP than their straight chain counterparts. It depends on the structure of the branching. A more symmetrical one will have a higher MP, like EK says. I'll stick with the EK one 🙂
