It's got to be somewhere in this HUGE HOUSE - plus it's a yorkie so easy to lose anyway. She'll come find me when she wants a good petting.

 Oh, good. I thought it was something like the gate in the backyard fence was open and doggie was nowhere to be found.

Don't worry - I'll very much show them the love back. Now that I'm in Houston I'll start working on the secondary.

But I'm kinda a high maintance girl. I'd like to have a bit of sparkly before I commit. (and by "sparkly" I mean full scholarship)

just kidding.

I'm equally high-maintenance. That's how they snagged my attending as an undergrad. 😉

So I'm sitting in my best friend's GI-NORMOUS HOUSE thinking: "Damn - I should have been an engr."

😛

Damn, looks like I'm wasting my future bachelor's degree.

Meg, I wish that worked when our chow gets loose. Exhaustion is the only thing that gets through to her. We were think about packing a Tazer for those unauthorized chow jogs. :meanie:

Ok, don't send hate mail...I am just kidding. These are the two most spoiled dogs on the face of the planet. They stay at luxury resorts for boarding, one had a total hip replacement a clouple of years ago, they eat the prissy food, these dog do not have the first clue about abuse, nor will they ever.

Hey, I own a German Shorthair. He runs in large circles for hours on end.

The treats thing works for the cat. He hears the shake or the lid pop off on the other side of the house and comes tearing through. Funny thing is - he doesn't like the actual treats, but he comes running for them every time!

I don't know why but that made me laugh.

Looks like I'm going to miss the death of this thread.

Goodbye v3. I'll always remember you. From the talk of seersucker suits, bourbon, pets, food, mcat, A-mans step 1, apps, emergence of chat, Molly's teaching, emergence of some new randomites, and all the other fun stuff not mentioned.

Are you applying there for med school?

Of course as it will be the cheapest interview ever. Put on suit, walk to the med center, get grilled for an hour, have lunch on their dime, then walk back to the apartment.

 well that's true! Unfortunately since I no longer live in College Station, I have no such cheap interview 😡

So Vandy asked about "scholarly work or research" I have done so I'm writing about a term paper I wrote about Chinese Folk Religion because I couldn't think of anything else. Does that work?

As they didn't specify "scholarly medical work or reseach," I'd say you're good to go. Will certainly help you stand out from the crowd. 👍

If they ask you "why Vandy med," I'll give you the dirt on the med school that will have them eating out of your hand.

Oh Tucker boy, that was such a beautiful eulogy.

But, you left out v3's biggest contribution...the continuation of BREASTSTICKS.

 actually that's not one of the essays.
There's a autobiography, research, and one talking about relevant skills.

Still give me the DL on Vandy when you get a chance.

Blech, the LOR service still doesn't have one of my letters.

I so didn't want to have to remind this person, but it looks like I will have to. And of course I don't have his e-mail address!! So I have to do it in person.
