A short quiz:

In the Random Non-MCAT thread you are allowed to discuss all of the following EXCEPT:

A.) Breaststicks
B.) the MCAT
C.) cake
D.) VD

If you chose B then congrats! You are ready to begin postwhoring in the Random non-MCAT and only peripherally related to the MCAT thread - Part Quatro 😎

I knew a guy who rarely showed up for lecture or discussion. He was the same one who showed up on MCAT morning asking, "Do people actually study for this?" I often wonder what happened to him... 🙂
I'll be the guy who no one knows is in their class until match day.

I hope you weren't friends with him! People like that PISS ME OFF.

I have no problem with skipping lecture.....if you know what's going on, why bother going? But it's people who always boast about "not studying" that really annoy me

Agreed. I went to my genetics class probably <10 times for the whole semester. But I wasn't shoving it in people's faces.

I dominated on the science reasoning section.

I got the highest possible score on spatial reasoning, or whatever that is. Every aptitude test I've ever taken has told me that I should go into engineering or mechanics of some sort.

Of course, I absolutely suck at that stuff in the real world.

31 on MCAT, no questions asked.
See my husband is trying to argue that since the highest he got on ACT was a 30 and he always scored really high in percentiles on other stuff in high school that a 31 on ACT must be higher than a 31 on the MCAT (since a 31 on MCAT is what - 80th percentile? Just guessing - didn't look it up)

31 ACT is like 99% but its against all of the HS population. I'd do it by SDs.

I admit that it's hard to compare the two tests. My recollection is that the ACT was cake compared to the MCAT, though. I mean, I didn't take one of the math classes supposedly tested on the ACT and I did very well, so what does that tell you?

good point - even a lower percentile on MCAT might be a bigger accomplishment because it's a more competitive group of people you are being measured against.

Okay, now I'm all impressed with my hubby's 30 on the ACT. 😉 I took the SAT so I never really knew how well he did. 😀

I took both. Plus I took the SAT in 8th grade and 11th, as well, so I was able to measure how much I improved.🙂
