ok, I went to google images to find a pinky and the brain pic to ask you "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?"

I'm afraid to google "taskmistress" on my relative's computer.

I'll send jlw after you if you go AWOL again. Then you'll be forced to clean the latrines for a month with your toothbrush. And no, the hours may not be counted as community service on AMCAS.

You have been warned.
Sir, yessir!

It is definitely time for a haircut. I just lost a bobby pin in my hair for a few minutes.

My appointment is on Monday. Suggestions, advice, pictures, anything, are all appreciated.

May I suggest the use of a nice prescription narcotic coupled with a nice glass of cab to help calm you? 😀

 jlw, you and I totally speak the same language. 😀 You'd be feeling no pain with that.

I don't have any narcotics.

Don't forget benadryl to help with the itching. 😉

in retrospect, I was really young and stupid and a total idiot. ALWAYS get the refill, people. ALWAYS.

Truer words have never been spoken.

My dad had rotator cuff surgery and his doc offered him more percocet a few weeks later - my dad said no. WTF??!! 😡 😉

Dude, is that what you guys take in Missouri? :meanie:

Oxycodone is where the money is, hon. 😀
actually, I couldn't find a decent Vicodin pic 🙁

and I've never tried Oxycodone, so if you're feeling the need to whip out that prescription pad over Labor Day weekend, feel free, sister!

Seconded. I actually think this is a big problem with health care people.

I was always hesitant to ask for pain meds lest I be labeled a seeker.

Everybody treats health care people like they are seekers.

We got this big talk in orientation about how drugs/alcohol etc. ruin so many young docs careers, how "it can happen to you," etc. and how they make it supposedly so easy to get help. Yeah, too bad they then boot you from your job and you can never get a license again. 😡

(This is a pet peeve of mine, in a big way).

I still have 10 left. :meanie:

I used to have a stash of narcotics from heart surgeries but wound up taking them all. 🙁

We can probably work out something to do with those ten Vicodin. Five for each of us. I'll bring the Yellow Tail. 😀

My last one was done right at his practice since I was old enough. Talk about a weird feeling - a scalpel to the eardrum while awake.....loudest noise you will ever experience!! 😱

Oh my gosh Fe. That totally gives me the shudders.

um, beary, I hate to tell you this, but me posting a picture of hydrocodone (which I thought was the generic for Vicodin but it says Lortab on the bottle- whatever) is as close as ANYONE'S going to get to sharing my Vicodin.

but I'm in on the Yellow Tail.

Fine, meanie. :meanie:

I have to warn you - I am very shy.

That's sooooo short! I haven't had hair that short since my mom dictated how it got cut.

Yeah, it is really short. I used to have hair very similar in length and style to yours. I just spontaneously got it cut one day. It was very traumatic. But I liked it and have kept it short ever for a few years now.

I would cry, I bet.

It's funny... my mom was militantly against long hair when my sisters and I were young... pixie cuts or worse all the way.

All of us have long hair now, and have had for most of our adult lives. 🙂

Fight Club was such a good movie. I didn't understand the ending though.

Of course, I am investing a long time reading these Dark Tower books that I still have no idea what is going on in.

Fight Club the novel was even more messed up.
