Ooohh... that would hurt. 😱 I think that there is a big difference between being "friends" and being "friendly." I am not really looking to be friends with many of my co-workers, but am still friendly (I think so anyway. 😉 )

Totally agreed about people being freakish aliens. When does that happen? I didn't love everybody in my med school class, but for the most part I would say the majority of them were normal and non-alien. But we will turn into the alien attendings of the future.

for some it starts early, for others late. thankfully you havent contracted the disease yet, its almost inevitable though for most people. the longer they spend in a hospital the more likely they are of contracting it. i was an usher for the class of 05 graduation a couple of years ago and trust me, it started for some even on graduation day. 😱 :laugh:

from what I've heard, the "freakish alien" thing occurs within months of becoming an attending. a friend of mine (M) used do the same job I'm doing now in the ER. there's a doc who's my age who was finishing her fellowship while M was working with her- M has only glowing things to say about her. fast forward 2 years, I start working there- all I hear from my colleagues is that the doc is a holy terror- whiny, insecure, yells at people all the time.. my supervisor said that it all happened right around the time she finished the fellowship and got hired as an attending. in the meantime, M refuses to believe that her friend has changed. 🙁

i did pretty well--thanks for asking! I took 6R today--the verbal on that one is pretty rough!! how are you doing? did you move more of your stuff to your apartment?

i moved more stuff but it wont be fully furnished until the weekend after OB is over, so in about a month.

i lauhed in the middle of my peds shelf exam a couple of weeks ago and my friend sitting next to me thought i was crazy. i just saw a question on the exam that we all had been asked before by an attending and which we thought was totally random and that we would never see again. when i saw it i just started laughing, very cool i knew the answer right away.

i had this one psych professor who would put hilarious stuff in our exams

It's Warsong Gulch double honor weekend in WoW. 😀

I almost never play WoW anymore. Tomorrow morning, I am going to go to work early, get done, and play the rest of the day. 👍

Sunday = visit new church, and watch NASCAR. 👍
