I was secretly hoping that my bf was going to have to scrap his comp so I could scavenge his RAM, but no such luck.

OK, so my story of dubious interest of the week:

My boyfriend is half Armenian (father) and half Italian (mother).

His ex gets it into her head to do genetic lineage analysis on the family.

Turns out that, thousands of years ago, his patrilinear ancestry is actually Scottish! The only 12/12 genetic match is in Scotland. The 11/12 matches are all in Ireland and the UK. She is sending for further testing that will match 25 sites on the Y chromosome.

This whole weekend, he and his son were joking about being the sole lost descendents of some Scottish laird who went off to the Crusades and about learning the bagpipes.

I am looking forward to another lazy day tomorrow. We have this party coming up and I am beginning to have my doubts about the readiness of the house for guests.
