A short quiz:

In the Random Non-MCAT thread you are allowed to discuss all of the following EXCEPT:

A.) Breaststicks
B.) the MCAT
C.) cake
D.) VD

If you chose B then congrats! You are ready to begin postwhoring in the Random non-MCAT and only peripherally related to the MCAT thread - Part Quatro 😎

Have you figured out actually what books you really need?

Pritzker is great that way. In the "Life at Pritzker" booklet (available on the web, too!) that they send out, there is a section where they go over the different texts that have been recommended and ranked by a survey of the students. Frequently, of course, the "recommended" texts are pretty low on the list.

I've also been paying attention over the past year to posts in allo about what books people found useful. All in all, I think I've got a good handle on the basics. 🙂

And now, Molly's semi-regular injection of pure randomness into this thread. I give you: a dancing Spiderman.

That is all. 🙂

Thanks Molly, I'm all about dancing superheroes!

Just be careful - you end up thinking about them by their real names instead of their screennames and then post their real name in this thread. 😉 I've done it a few times accidentally.

I agree Oxeye, I fight it all the time. Sort of takes the mindlessness out of this thread!!

My parents saw the Stones earlier this year, I think they paid over $100 per ticket

I saw them Jan 2003 at the United Center in Chicago. Our seat were literally the highest ones up and we paid $100. The Stones are good, but I'll never pay that much again (unless it's Buffett).

That's the thing I don't like about facebook. I can't be a member of my undergrad network because my e-mail address from that school expired years ago. 🙁

So I had to use the one where I'm doing my post-bacc stuff but even that has me in the wrong network. It's weird!

Yeah. I hate that whole e-mail thing!

NICE! I hope that's per hour 😉
 Hopefully yes.

Except what happens if I have this conversation:
Student: So what did you make on the MCAT
Me: a 41
Student: Wow - so Kaplan helped you out a ton?
Me: Um, no I didn't take Kaplan. I studied on my own.
Student: Um, so why am I wasting my money?

QofQuimica,

If you read this thread still........

Guess what??? So I was on facebook the other day and my friend who tutors at TPR for ochem totally totally stole your avatar as his facebook profile pic.
