Isn't it nice to see someone challenging those other rankings for once!

It definitely is! My husband gets more angry about it than I do, because he went to a very lowly ranked school but thinks he got just as good an education and he would have gotten at a top ranked school.

Unfortunately, his undergrad/grad school is in the 200 range even with the Washington Monthly list so I don't think I'll tell him about it. 😉 I'm actually a little surprised to see it that low in the rankings.

Hmm do they have Dunkin Donuts down there in Tx? They have the best coffee and higher caffeine count than even Starbucks!
we do - but this is a town I don't know. So I only know where the Panera and Starbucks is... ooo and one local coffee shop but that's like a 1/2 drive away.

I'd get pissed too, but if he was satisfied and happy with his school, that is all that matters (oh, and it doesn't seem like he's doing too badly with that education either  )

I don't like Panera's coffee, as I said, but I do like their food. Unfortunately the reason it all tastes so good is because it's loaded with calories. 🙁

"Attention Molly: step away from the 'You-Pick-Two' turkey artichoke panini and the Caesar salad. Put the fork down and back slowly through the restaurant. Do not stop at the bakery counter for bagels and danish."

They do have great scones!!

Being the only canadian here I'll throw my coffee vote behind Tim Hortons. I think a few states have it but I'm guessing none of you people have heard of it. But if you are ever up north, the people here spend a significant portion of their lives at Tim Hortons. Me included.

I think I have decided that I'm going to get my hair cut. Going to schedule the appointment today.

I've basically had two hairstyles during my adult life: chin-length bob +/- bangs, and all-one-length looooooong. (I don't count the growing out in between. 😛 )

I think I might try to go for something in between this time.

I'm scared. Hold me. :scared: 😱 :scared:

😀 You'll be okay. I cried when I cut my hair for locks for love. Get something layered. Like Elliot Reid-ish.

Yeah, I'm thinking something along those lines.

I had a nasty experience with layers in HS and it scarred me for life. But it's time to face the fear. 😉

Ahh man, I miss Panera! and their stupid, suck-you-in You Pick Two. I always went for the Clam Chowder...mmmm...... We need a Panera here in Oz.

Ok my parents want to go canoing. They said "well I see people with canoes on their cars going". I look at the water levels and they are hovering at like 1 ft or about 20% compared to the mean. I mean seriously, I do NOT want to drag the canoe through the river. And with a water level of about a foot that is WHAT WE'LL GET! 😡

I can't get that through their heads. Just because everyone ELSE is jumping off a bridge, does that mean YOU have to?

If it comes to jumping off a bridge into 1 ft of H2O or canoeing/dragging...let them canoe. 😉 😛

I just got the most confusing email form NJMS. I sent in my secondary a month ago (with a money order for $75) and have not heard anything from them since. I wrote yesterday and this was the response.

Dear Mr. Fe,

Your application with New Jersey Medical School is complete. AMCAS has
sent us your verified application. If you printed and sent us your
application we have not received it as of yet. It is not necessary that
you do this.

Thank you for your interest in New Jersey Medical School.

Sincerely,

Lady at NJMS

you have to send a separate application? 😕

I'd call. Or email her back.

Yea I email again, I am totally lost by that email.

They tell me that they have not received my application (however, I bought tracking and it did get delivered) but then she says I don't need to anyway. Last time I checked, you need to send a secondary for the application to be complete (I mean, it has essays on it) Also, where the hell did my $75 go? 😡 😕
