Boo evil red wine headache. Go away!!! :meanie: :meanie:
it's cause of the stupid sulfites. that's what gives the headache. 🙁

i wish we could buy wine here in the US that doesn't have sulfites in it. if you've ever had wine in italy or any other foreign country, you know what i'm talking about. even the imported wines here must have sulfites put in them before they can be sold.

YAY for new hair!

I gotta go get my hur did on Tuesday.
 that's how everyone at my high school used to describe it. another one of my favorites is: "ooh, yer shoes is cute!"
silly pittsburghers. 😛

I did my hair about 2 weeks ago. Apparently I look older now and not 15 anymore. I'm so sick of being mistaken for a sophmore...in HIGH SCHOOL! I don't wanna be called Doogie.
i just met some family members down in georgia, and they all thought i was between 12 and 16. it could be worse.

One more thing....Durden, I'm totally diggin' the Brad Pitt. well done.

Why thank you; I bask in the warm glow of your approval. Especially since it comes from someone who schooled on the correct side of the state.

*ducks for cover from the other Missourians on here*

Ok, I'm going to delve into the evil MCAT territory breifly.....

How much info from Orgo II and Physics II is on the MCAT? I'll be taking those classes in the Spring and wondering how many questions cover this and how people study for it.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.....

oh there is sure to be a lot of physics II stuff on on your mcat--they love mirrors, lenses, magnets, circuits and all that other crap.

as for orgo II....i guess it all depends on what test form you end up with. I would be WAY more concerned about learning the stuff in physics II for the MCAT

uh, passed out on the couch last night and woke up at 4:30 am I hate doing that!

I always end up waking up to some freaky infomercial

Did all the drug talk last night result in an OD/party?

I completely agree. I didn't have many mass, torque, or motion questions, but a plethora of waves, lenses, and circuits. As far as Orgo II goes, every orgo passage and question I had seemed to be on esters. I didn't have any biochem though.

 I have no idea. I was waiting for a show to start and next thing i know I am waking up to some infommercial about a veggie slicer!

Errrr I wish I had that!! Waves and lenses and circuits were the stuff I was good at and probably the reason I was getting 12s and 13s on my practice physics.

On the real deal, at least HALF of my test was projectile motion and mass/energy stuff. I had AP credits for physics and hadn't seen projectile motion stuff since high school.

I decided that I was too smart to really practice projectile motion because it's easy right? Well, I never felt more like an IDIOT  Before i knew it, i was in panic mode on the MCAT because I totally froze on all the kinematcs problems 🙁 🙁

But I would agree that in general, they really do love those waves/lenses/circuits. I just didn't happen to get much on my real thing 😡

Too bad it wasn't a phone personals ad. Those are always more entertaining than the usual food products or weight loss regimes at 4 AM.

 I remember panicking upon seeing the phrase "arctan" in one of my answer choices. High school trig questions are not fair in a graduate school admissions exam.

Thanks! Hopefully taking the course that semester will keep it fresh in my head.

some of us are trying to figure out whether we want to self-identify as "Missourian"

is it worse to say you're from here or that you're choosing to live here?

(and btw, wasn't it on YOUR side of the state that the city school district lost their credentialling? that's right, baby- we were just on PROBATION. so HA!)

Why thank you; I certainly couldn't have done it without you. Feel free to return to work now and wipe off those shed tears of happiness. I'd hate to think of you getting fired thanks to me and the rest of the Randomites.

as if my boss actually has a clue what I do all day.

you may think I'm joking.... actually, come to think of it, he's not even here today. and we already did rounds (2 kids, 2 hours... :scared: ). Wish I could blow this off. Alas, I cannot.

1 patient/hour on rounds??!! :scared:

I don't think my attending has any idea what I do all day either, or any idea HOW MUCH I have to do.

Memorable quote of the day, from my attending, to beary:
"Your dissections totally suck." *cries*

So not only am I miserable, apparently I suck at it too, even though I am doing my best. 🙁

Congrats Fe!!!

My first letter from a med school was a full out rejection (from Duke).

Thanks Beary 🙂

All the sudden I am nervous. I have a post saved from Q on advice for prepping for interviews so I am going to look that over. 😍
