Oh, man, I wish!! I'm going to bed early tonight... lots to do tomorrow. I've got to pack for our mini-vacation and clean the house because we have guests coming about four hours after we get back to stay the weekend. 🙁

When does Tucker's Dancing with the Stars start?? This is something I will make time to watch. 🙂
I dunno, but I am very hyped for it.

It is rumored that she has Marfan's Syndrome, as does Osama Bin Laden.

I wouldn't be surprised, but there is something that is deeper that is not physical, yet manifests itself physically....ok, the woman just scares the S#!t out of me.

Anyone else waiting for the season premiere of nip/tuck in Sept? I should add it to BB's list in the other thread of ways to by time til Oct.

I never got into that show. Prison Break starts tomorrow night though!

Hey docd how are the secondaries coming?

I have about three weeks to go for verification but have most of the essays done thanks to this site. Vandy's biography and Northwestern's "distinguishable characteristics" are thorns in my side though. I'm racing to finish them before classes start on Wednesday.

I was going to start a blog on LiveJournal but everyone else is using Blogger, so maybe I should too. I like lj's privacy features, though, and I don't think Blogger has anything like that, do they?

Did you see her on Bill Maher? Too funny - two people I never thought would agree on anything.
No I saw her on some CSPAN book club thing. It was a women's conservative Q & A.
I think I'll pick up her books if I have free time. Because if anything, she knows how to sell books.

I have quite a few books on my to read list but I'm not a big reader. I really need to read Atlas Shrugged.

Woah you aren't verified! 😱 Don't you feel like you are doomed to be rejected from all schools since you weren't verified in July (as according to SDN)

Oh wait, your mcat score... 😉

Dr Durden, I salute you. That's awesome.

(Silence of the Lambs is one of my very favorite movies and books.)

Why thank you. I definitely agree with you on both points.

Haha I just started that! Fountainhead was one of my favorites and I have been meaning to start Atlas Shrugged for a long time now

It's not the SDN obsession with paranoia that has me concerned but a 4.0 and 42 candidate two years back from my school who bit the dust everywhere. I'm not sweating it yet though.

Ha, I haven't even submitted my AMCAS app yet let alone write a PS. I don't even have a MCAT score yet, LOL! Not worried, though. I don't worry about small things in life. 🙂

😱 was he a death row escapee or something. That's outrageous otherwise!

Definitely recommend Atlas Shrugged. Its 1000+ pages aren't for the feint of heart though, especially with classes and secondary season upon us. Better save it for those long flights. 😉

See if I were still in college I wouldn't, but since I just graduated and am going to be a regular 9 to 5er for a year, I might as well try to do something more intellectual than NCAA 2007 and Poker

She was the valedicatorian of the liberal arts school and her mdapps profile comes up quite frequently on these boards. These usually get shut down pretty fast as they turn gossipy and Q actually met her.

Just don't let Rand's prose distract you from boosting your post count. 😎

That is an awesome pic, Dr. D. That is about how she comes off. (And Laura Ingraham too.) I felt bad for the guys when she would walk through the newsroom.. I wanted to help them protect their balls!

I will read it after I finish these Dark Tower books.

One of my good friends is REALLY into that series. He was kinda disappointed with I think the most recent release. He said it was too short. All I can remember is he kept talking about a gunslinger or something.

Yep, it's all about gunslingers.

They are very weird books, but for some reason I can't stop reading. I'm in DT III now (The Waste Lands).

My other friend is really into some sci-fi books that are weird. I've only read one book (Left Hand of Darkness) by Ursala K Legwin (sp?). Can't remember ever reading anything by King. I liked his made for tv movie of Rose or something like that on ABC a few years back.

The Stand (Stephen King) is an EXCELLENT book. One of my all time favorites. I would recommend it for sure. I don't like the more horror type stuff.
