Not the Charlize-looking girl. Sorry, I've only seen one episode because I had to download it for my friend who missed it. Something about a bomb in some guy. I watch nip/tuck instead. 🙂 Durden and jlw will be getting 30% of net profits, each.

In Grey's terms, that makes you a Dr. McSteamy.

Yeah I've seen it a few times. Can't really get into it.....it's too overly dramatic I think. I used to love ER when it first started, but it really sux now. Is it even still on or has it been cancelled already?

I hate watching TV especially when every single freakin' channel has a reality show. I swear reality shows have taken over TV land. Sux not to have cable, I guess.

I actually didn't have cable last summer when I came home from school over summer. I got used to not watching anything on TV. The only time I would watch tv would be for Family Guy and F1 racing. I knew what times both would air so I'd just go to a friends house if need be to watch.

Now it's pretty much the same. I only watch pre-specified stuff like sports, which is pretty much about it. The only shows I can find myself getting into is LOST. Even for nip/tuck I don't watch til the season end when they air all of them for 6+ hours straight.

So true about LOST, but it's getting annoying too 'cause they give you so little info. Plus they're not coming back on 'til Oct. What do you think is going on with that show?

You're gonna have to fill me in. 😕 McFoot in my McNugget?

They call one of the doctors is Grey's Anatomy...Dr. McDreamy.

also, for those who are out of the loop, have a read:

I'm excited about this and hopefully by the time I get to med school this will be looked at more. I am also against embryonic stem cell research but if it won't kill them that's even better.

But, I'm not the government, and my reasons against it are religious more than anything. I guess that makes me a "they".

It's so weird thinking of Patrick Dempsey as McDreamy when he looked so geeky in that '80s movie Can't Buy Me Love.

I think McSteamy had an affair with McDreamy's wife.

lol, this sounds like a cartoon!

RAD, LOST definitely doesn't give enough answers, but as much as I hate to say it, I kinda like it. I enjoy thinking about it, but maybe it's rough for you. I go online and discuss it with people and look at hi-def screen shots. 🙂 We like to analyze and come up with theories. 😀

I wonder if WTC is worth seeing. I saw Flight 93 on video and it was so disturbing.

No, I like it too I guess I'm just impatient :meanie:

Do you know if surgeon residents have to have very still hands? Mine aren't the most steady, but I think I could get by. One thing that worries me about being a surgeon is the risk of ending your career. If you mess up your hand or go blind in one eye from freak accidents, etc. I read about a neurosurgeon resident who slipped on a wet floor at a hospital (no warning sign) and it messed up his hands and he couldn't continue. He sued the hospital and won his future earnings. Sad to say he couldn't do what he wanted. 🙁

Is that what you want to do...be a surgeon? I like ER 'cause I want to do my "doctor thing" within a set # of hours and be the best darn doc at that time, but also have set time for family. Never really thought of surgery, but who knows.

Well, I've only had experiences with two things: radiology CT scanning in the ER and having my appendix removed.

I like both diagnosis (radiology) and actually hands-on repairing (surgery) just like with my cars. I like finding out what's wrong with the car, but also working on it. 🙂

What's even more disturbing is the near attack on New York that occurred a few weeks ago. Thank god they got caught. 15 planes being hijacked is scary. That could have been any one of us on there.

"When the Air Hits the Brain" was an excellent memoir written by a neurosurgeon. When he was preparing slides in medical school a supervisor said something along the lines of "I hope you're not intending to be a brain surgeon." If he can do it, so can you!

(And no I'm not just saying it because I have a stake in your future earnings.)

i watched Flight 93 last weekend (well the tail end of it anyway). my bf was really interested b/c he was on his way to italy when 9/11 happened (literally in the air), so he didn't know what was going on over here.

Wow that makes two of you in the random thread that will be having an interview at one of the Penn schools. First S&M with UPitt and now you with PSU. Congrats man!!!

You don't see what that term also means?

No. Anastasis's nickname also means something else too. Cuz we named her VD but not to indicate the sexual thing it means but rather because of her love for Vin Diesl.

Williams is not in the loop like us in the "in-crowd" 👍
