Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Congratulations to everyone who made Part 4 such a kickass thread!!!

And thank you to the ever generous, intelligent, lovely, and kind Nichole, who let me start the thread even though she won the last one. 🙂

Your music interests shock me, especially yours Q. And to think, I thought the only music you listened to was the forming of precipitates in test tubes. Tsk, tsk tsk.

@F1: Audioslave was the only one I liked out of your playlist.

@Ump: They did a multi-million dollar study on that. The sarcastic face is to show how I think it was a waste of money since their conclusion was pretty much common sense.

Where the hell have you been? You only check-in now at some ridiculous Eastern time.
lol i'm trying to enrich my life with other experiences

so far all ive done is watch tv. spending all day on the comp or all day at the tv. both seem equally lame so i've failed misereably i suppose

Sweetie, one thing you will come to realize, if you haven't already, is that women are very complex and incomprehensible creatures. 😉

And so is their relationship.

I think it was Jessica's dad's fault. He probably wanted her to have a "better" guy. This is the perv that also talks about his daughter's breasts so take everything he says with a large grain of salt. 🙄

Btw, Q, Jessica has an amazing voice. 😉 Not sure who the heck really writes their own stuff in the pop music world.
jessica is SUPER hot

her sister annoys the hell out of me. she doesnt deserve what she has

Do you live in a place like Canuck posted? Lake Louise resort or something? I'd get a bike and go over that place. Nothing like that around my place. Just a crap load cookie-cutter neighborhoods.

kinda close but not really

canada is super beautiful (except the middle part which is like all praries (sp?) ) but yea those places (banff, lake louise, all of british columbia pretty much) are sooooo beautiful. Mountains and lakes and trees and wilderness. We're very lucky. Hopefully the americans dont take us over one day

You ever heard anything from The Mars Volta?

If you like At the Drive-in, you might like them, too.

Not a big fan of most bands, so even if I knew them, I doubt I'd like them. I'm a horrible person to ask for music because I hate probably 99% of all bands.

We will. 🙂 I heard you have the most oil reserves 😉

(I'm thinking stocks and bonds as I type 😀 )
Yea lots of oil

I also watched a documentary once that you guys might eventually attack to get your greedy little hands on our fresh water supplies

I just read what I wrote and I sound so bitter. ah well. american foreign policy pisses off just about everyone

Hun, YOU are being incredibly annoying, but you don't see me blaming the entire male gender for it, do you??? 😉
women blame the entire male gender for everything, why should this be an exception?

(all in good humor of course )

i just killed an ant that was on my computer. I feel so powerful. I keep checkin my leg cause I feel something crawling on it. Maybe his brothers are here to avenge him

i wanna be a good randomite and look through everythinng (especially when Anastasis was hitting on me) ..... but i'll just keep you guys company

i didnt even realize the guy was in a corvette cause i was wonderin how he was keepin up. the gt is definately nicer, so fast. i would love to drive it like that

so the capacity is actually only 232GB, why do the bastards advertise it as 250 then?? dinguses

From wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk said:
Hard drive manufacturers typically specify drive capacity using 'SI prefixes', that is, the SI definition of the prefixes "giga" and "mega." This is largely for historical reasons, since disk drive storage capacities exceeded millions of bytes [4] long before there were standard 'binary prefixes' (even before there were the SI prefixes, 1960). The IEC only standardized 'binary prefixes' in 1999. As it turned out, many practitioners early on in the computer and semiconductor industries adopted the term kilobyte to describe 210 (1024) bytes because 1024 is "close enough" to the metric prefix kilo, which is defined as 103 or 1000. Sometimes this non-SI conforming usage include a qualifier such as '"1 kB = 1,024 Bytes"' but this qualifier was frequently omitted, particularly in marketing literature. This trend became habit and continued to be applied to the prefixes "mega," "giga," "tera," and even "peta."

Operating systems and their utilities, particularly visual operating systems such as Microsoft's various Windows operating systems frequently report capacity using binary prefixes which results in a discrepancy between the drive manufacturer's stated capacity and the system's reported capacity. Obviously the difference becomes much more noticeable in reported capacities in the multiple gigabyte range, and users will often notice that the volume capacity reported by their OS is significantly less than that advertised by the hard drive manufacturer. For example, Microsoft's Windows 2000 reports drive capacity both in decimal to 12 or more significant digits and with binary prefixes to 3 significant digits. Thus a disk drive specified by a drive manufacturer as a '30 GB' drive has its capacity reported by Windows 2000 both as '30,065,098,568 bytes' and '28.0 GB'. The drive manufacturer has used the SI definition of "giga," 109 and can be considered as an approximation of a gibibyte. Since utilities provided by the operating system probably define a gigabyte as 230, or 1073741824, bytes, the reported capacity of the drive will be closer to 28.0 GB, a difference of well over 7%. For this very reason, many utilities that report capacity have begun to use the aforementioned IEC standard binary prefixes (e.g. KiB, MiB, GiB) since their definitions are unambiguous.

Many people mistakenly attribute the discrepancy in reported and specified capacities to reserved space used for file system and partition accounting information. However, for large (several GiB) filesystems, this data rarely occupies more than a few MiB, and therefore cannot possibly account for the apparent "loss" of tens of GBs.

so the first thing i tried to write failed. and the thing is still writing for some reason.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA I called the 1-800 number for support and in the message the chineese lady (obviously outsourced) is doing the whole "if you know the extension of the person you are trying to reach blah blah" bit and someone opens a door behind her and she like pauses for a sec before going on. oh jeez. obviously a pretty ghetto company

3am here. I've tried to reason with this piece of crap. I feel like I can get it working if it would just relax and let try installing a few things. But no. Everytime I turn it on it freezes up everything so i have to turn it off. I'm going to give it another shot. If it still resists, its going back to the store. It sounds like a ****ing chipmunk
