nah. actually, the attending wasn't even going to bother with the charcoal, but the EM resident wanted to give it a shot. the stuff he ate was from a mouse trap (the kind where they go in and get the little poison balls), and apparently the amount ingested wouldn't be enough to do damage to a kid this size.

mom was demanding his stomach be pumped (OW!!!) or an x-ray be done (to see...???), so the attending had to step in and explain why those things weren't appropriate in this case.

I don't think anyone else got my score this time around... tons of 37s and 39s ...🙁 On my own island as usual... any progress in WoW beary? When do you think you'll level up ?

BTW... there have been over a 130 threads made in the MCAT forum in the past 2 days... I watched it roll over 14000 wednesday night. Normally we get about 1-2 per day 🙂 Everything is so nice and organized and then a day like this throws in a monkey wrench

Teerawit... are you interviewing with Dr. Burke ? I used to work in his lab, he's a really cool guy, and I know he does (did) MD/PhD interviews

although the title

should we try to switch it up at some point ? add some spice in ?

Random has to be in there... but we can let some creativity show

I want to level up on November 27 (the day before the expansion pack comes out). 👍 I actually am going to have to pace myself for that to happen. Right now I am just working on honor.

It's Arathi Basin double honor weekend so guess what I'll be doing tomorrow and Sunday. 😳

Hey man welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting interviews; mcat is only one piece of the puzzle. I was super paranoid about my score at first but by now, after going on a few interviews, I feel the consensus is that the mcat isn't nearly as big of a deal as people make it out to be, mostly because the process is so random to begin with. A high mcat helps, but not getting one won't necessarily hold you back from getting to where you want to go (unless of course you're shooting for a full ride at JHU or something)

ha, yeah. we have a mcdonalds on campus so what we do in pedi is put the activated charcoal in a mcdonalds cup. tricks them into drinking some of it.l :meanie:
