A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

My, factually, better examples 😀 :

I really really really wanted to post the other link I got to bug the boys, but I would probably get banned, or at least put on post hold because of it 😛

She'll be coming with 🙂

Is your G/F at PSU Med?

You're such a pimp.

She is actually at Maryland (last night lodging was free 😉 ) but I met her at PSU. We are both in agreement that I'm not making my decision based on that, but I would be lying if I told you it wasn't a factor.

probably not very crappy at all-even if you tried

I'm really going for uber-crappiness.

This is one of the few things I never learned ANYTHING about in med school (hyaditiform mole, choriocarcinoma nonsense). 😡

Just going to throw some crappy slides together. Then watch Lost. Then maybe take a nap.

I need some alcohol.

Are you getting any Maryland love so far?

Who isn't doing anything tonight? I have an Art History paper due tomm and it isn't writing itself.

I need a late night SDNer to keep me from going to bed.

My post MCAT slackage is soooo bad, I can only imagine post acceptance.

I had my interview today and it went as well as it possibly could have. Both my interviews were my best yet. I was super impressed with the school, the shock trauma center is amazing (i'm interested in emergency medicine)....type in "shock trauma" in google and it's the first hit that comes up.

But in 4-5 weeks we'll see how strong the love is

Send in some letter of interest action. Tell them you love them.

Yeah I am working on thank you letters and then I will write a LOI. I haven't done it yet, but I feel like this is a school that likes it.

btw, I interviewed with a radiologist (a neuroradiologist to be more specific) and he dispelled my previous notions of rads......they do have personalities!!! This guy was beyond cool, I felt like I was talking to one of my buddies

Ok, I finished my six essays and now Duke may send me their secondary.

Back to my regularly scheduled slackage on SDN.

the only thing i know about trophoblasts is that they are the cells on the outside of the blastocyst. but that's probably not what you're talking about.....

No, it is, thanks! I looked it up on wikipedia.

They INVADE the uterus. I was just reading this paper that hyperglycosylated hCG has 100% sensitivity and specificity for choriocarcinoma, but in the next paragraph they said it is produced in early normal pregnancy during implantation. Am I missing something here? This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

Oh yeah, IMHO radiologists are some of the coolest folks. (Just behind pathologists of course. 😎 )

the only thing I know about hcg - going up = good, going down = bad, going up way too fast = lots of babies or some weird molar pregnancy stuff
