A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

Hola peeps. I had my Jefferson interview and it went really well. My interviewer basically asked me one thing; tell me about your childhood, family, and where you grew up. Totally awesome:laugh: I really liked the school and the location is pretty darn sweet. Jefferson actually stresses clinical medicine instead of research, which is a nice change of pace from my previous two (NYU and PSU, both of which basically require research to graduate)

Mshh, you are right in that the curriculum has been recently changed, and for what seems the better. Everything is done in blocks like most schools these day (so you have development, molec and cell biology, organ systems, etc.) They also do a parallel clinical experience during years 1 and 2 where you are required to shadow (basically any type of doctor you want) and where you learn to interview and take histories.

Lecture typically runs from 9-12, lunch is 12-1, and labs/small groups run until 4. The days will usually end at 4.

They said the biggest change has been in the evaluating. Instead of 1 or 2 tests per block or class, they have a test every two weeks, which leads to less material per test and has resulted in better performance.

Overall, I loved it........but man is it expensive. Living in center city Philly almost rivals living in Manhatten!

Thanks for the luck everyone🙂

you've said before that it's good... and I still don't believe you. 😳

my dad used to make peanut butter and butter. 😍 of course, that was in the 70s and early 80s when people didn't care as much.

*sighs and starts muttering curses*

We seriously need to start screening our clients before we sign any contracts.

That is all too true for me both here and in real life/work.

I'm making spaghetti and meatballs in vodka sauce for dinner. Who's coming over? (to do the dishes)

Try it...you'll see! I used to eat toast with butter and sugar when I was younger 😀 ....another strange concoction, I know, but my grandparents used to make that for me.

actually, sugar bread was something that apparently my dad had a lot as a treat growing up. they were po' and living in KY- it was about all they could afford.

my mother put the kibosh on that one for us. 🙁
