A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

Yes what is an advisor????

And no smart a$$ remarks please. Seriously what's going on??? Are they some sort of mod??? What are their roles and how did they get chosen??

Beary, Montoya qualified 2nd in the Busch race! He's starting on the front row in his first stock car race ever! 😀

The race is tomorrow at 6PM (I think) on Speed TV.

UMP, where ever the f you are, Kubica F1 pratice is tonight in Japan, live. 1AM ET. Qualifying is around the same time tomorrow. Race is Sunday 12:30 AM ET.

What's an advisor?

Yes what is an advisor????

To quote Lee Burnett's announcement at the top of the MCAT Forum:

"In late August we upgraded the SDN Forums. Following the upgrade, a number of new administrative features were added for our volunteer staff. Some of these features changed the dynamics of our staff structure, essentially turning Mods into what was previously an SMod status.

Based on these changes, we have chosen to modify the SDN Volunteer Staff structure with more staff dedicated specifically to assisting and helping our members. Along these lines, you may notice a number of Moderators are now designated as Advisors.

Advisors are here to serve as stewards of their forums, helping and assisting fellow members. They will have similar functions as Moderators did prior to the upgrades.

Additionally, a number of SMods that were attached to specific forums will no longer display as Moderator of a specific forum. Although they may not currently display as Moderators of specific forums, they are still active in it.

Although there are just a few Advisors at the moment, this will soon become the largest group within our volunteer staff.

Right now we're working on some of the technical issues with adding a new position, including display of Advisors for specific forums. This should be resolved by the end of this week.

If you're interested in becoming an Advisor in a forum, contact the Moderator for that forum."

Ah yes, the Fall season is underway. You a foliage fan, too?

By osmosis. I grew up with brothers, and anytime they played, there was no way I'd be able to change the channel without causing WWIII. So, I learned to tolerate the Leafers, and eventually turned into a fan.

Woohoo - just finished 45 minutes on the elliptical. My new goal is to be back to my pre-pre-pregnancy weight (i.e. my pre-pregnancy weight two pregnancies ago! ) by the time I start medical school. 😉

15 pounds in 10 months - I think I can do it. 😀

I'm about the start module 1 of Mod training...
Does it really take 3 hours? 😕

Here, I'll save you three hours and provide you with all the stock answers you'll ever need in the Thunderdome.

1) No, you cannot call other members names in AA threads. (Generally close after the first page.)
2) No, your application is not too late, but hurry up and submit ASAP.
3) No, a C in orgo, a W on a transcript, or attending a non-Ivy will not keep you out of medical school.
4) Yes, you can major in anything you want and become an MD.
5) No, nobody cares about your decision between Harvard and a scholarship elsewhere.
