No, but fortunately I'm on chemistry which is EXTREMELY laid back. And my attending knows I'm sick and isn't giving me a hard time. I have to give a big talk on Friday. But mostly what I am doing is working from like 8-10 or so, coming home to rest (with my pager - rarely get paged), then going and getting my IV ABx for a few hours in the afternoon and then maybe working a bit.

I sort of like staying working - I think it is good for my mental health in a way. But I start autopsy on November 1 which is going to be very busy (and physically demanding!) so I better be better by then. :scared:

It's interesting that you hate clindamycin, cuz I love it. Except I apply it topically to remove acne, and it's been the most effective medication for that.

thats great that your attending is cutting you slack and not making you feel any worse. you still have plenty of time between now and the 1st of november, you'll definitely be ready for the new service by then.

I wonder if topical clinda would help kill the Strep viridans in my heart and bloodstream. :idea:

I'm taking it orally and it causes bad GI side effects. I'll spare you the details. 😉

ouch, everyone has exams like that but usually you do better on them than you think. 😀

today was good, 9-520. its just unbelievable how uneven the workload in that office is, my preceptor and I see close to 25 patients a day. one of the other docs there sees 6/day and the other one sees like 20 but has 2 students with him and he's sending them home early all the time. the office staff though is really nice and i've really found a groove so i'm happy. i just have 2 weeks of family left before going on to psych. i've heard good and bad things about that rotation, depending on the team you get assigned to you might be there until noon or until 6. totally random again. 🙄

i actually have to get off of here now and read up for my exams next friday. enjoy your night off nikki! 😀 😍

yay---found someone to go shopping with--thank god. if i stay here i'll go crazy. Thanks A--i'll just think of all those times you freaked out about exams and thought you failed miserably😛 😛 i'm so worried about the mcat now......*sigh*

Have fun shopping! I kind of want to go shopping too. I need to get some new knit long sleeve tops. (I always wear polos, but going to be getting too cold for that soon!) Also could use another fleece.

I actually think that class could be pretty cool if the instructor did things differently. We have a paper due on Monday - a "book report" as she calls it. I could do this really cool paper about how the character does and does not meet the diagnostic criteria for depersonalization disorder. But no - I have to write about how the book made me feel. 🙄

and while I got up to make the three year old a hot dog, the one year old climbed onto the couch, got to my computer (which is next to the couch) and disconnected my USB interrupting the upload.

This is my life ...... simple tasks made difficult by children.

S&M, did Duke change their secondary much after last Thursday's revision? Just was curious if I should even bother pre-emptively working on the essays questions posted in pre-allo a month ago.

OMG I just got an interview invite from CCLCM. But my April MCAT sucked 24P and my August scores are not out. How is this possible?

How was dinner beary?

I gave up trying to upload that video - it got stopped in the middle of uploading a second time and I got too frustrated to try again.

I am sooooooo getting a new laptop before school starts next year! I'm SICK of this one.
