A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

My, factually, better examples 😀 :

isn't medical school 8 years--wtf??!! reminds me of the other day when i was at borders and these nurses came up to my friends and i (one of whom is a 2nd year). They are like "oh are you guys in nursing school--those look like nursing notes" *points at 1000 pages of powerpoints*

they tell us that they would *NEVER EVER EVER* want to be doctors and that there would me no shame in us becoming PAs or nurses. they then proceed to try and tell us that one of our profs--a hematologist practicing for over 30 years--has made a mistake in her lecture.

awww, being a guy I've never gotten that but I've heard these stories from my female classmates.

as for the rest of it. yeah, they'd never want to be doctors - ok. i'd never want to be a nurse, nothing agaisnt nurses but I like the science of medicine and being in charge of my patient's care. some people just dont get that.

being the nice person that I am, and feeling in a good mood tonight (thank you, Strongbow!!!), I will up the testosterone factor as my quarterly good deed.

the advantage of having Boeing in your backyard (figuratively) is that you sometimes get to see some pretty cool stuff around here. my route to school takes me right by the airport, and last week, I got to watch a couple of these puppies coming in for a landing. even a non-aero person such as myself can recognize that they're pretty darn cool. 😎

I can't believe they closed that special parking lot at the end of the runway!

Oh, and cues *Danger Zone* 👍

And if by "terrorists" you mean "city councilmembers", then yes. Yes, they do.

I just figured it was a post 9/11 thing, but those coucilmembers will get a piece of my mind if I ever move to St. Louis. Was the asphalt too expensive in upkeep? Come on, that was one of the best free attractions I ever went to as a kid.

heh, girl knows her fighters. The Mcdonnell Douglas F15 Eagle. Of course Mcdonnell Douglas was taken over by Boeing. Same with the F/A-18 Hornet. 🙂

Don't they sound incredible?

"airport expansion" which was approved not too long before TWA/AA decided to not use STL as a hub and cut back on the number of flights.

so you actually used to go there to watch the planes.. I *thought* you would have been a little young to have used it for the other main attraction. 😉

there is the possibility that I picked the wrong plane pic. which one has the wings that turn up during landing?

 Well I was with my parents and it was usually during daylight.

Heh, I saw the two Harriers they used in that movie while on vacation in the Keys. Of course there weren't two in the movie, but there were two parked on the bridge. They had production trucks lined up for over a mile.

Although they seem really neat, Harriers are ****ty aircraft

The Homecoming football games were always my favorite. They'd have a pair of F15 and a pair of F/A-18 fly overhead.

That's really sweet, are you going to any UF games this year? This looks like a good year to be there.

I just sold my Michigan ticket for this Saturday night 🙁

My favorite warbirds are the Boeing B17 and the North American P51 Mustang. For commercial, it would have to be the Lockheed Constellation and the Boeing 747. 🙂

Probably not. Only two more home games. South Carolina and West Carolina. Can't say I care about either even though Spurrier is coming back to the Swamp for his first time.

Edit: lol, just e-mailed my friend about South Carolina game tickets b/c he's going up from Ft. Lauderdale.

I got a model of a Mustang when I was 8 years old, exactly like the one in that picture. It's still my favorite, I would love to fly in one of those one day.

There's a guy on this other forum I'm on with a Mustang. His son flies it at the Reno air races. It's in the Jelly Belly livery. Looks awesome. 😎

You wouldn't have stayed at the game past halftime anyways
