A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

My, factually, better examples 😀 :

I'm not scared of the act of flying sooooo much as the act of terrorists being on those planes!!!

that and the thought of crashing :wow:

okay okay.....i gotta stop freaking myself out....i gotta keep on thinking about the destination only

mods are only exempt in their assigned forums. since smods are site wide, we're exempt everywhere. try posting twice within 20 secs in your advisor forum beary, i bet you wont get the message.

Tooooo bad I already beat you to it in informing Beary!!! Muahahahaha

I'm going out to dinner with some friends tonight in costumes. (dressed as a hippie; i will facebook some pics for you guys).

Then going to San Antonio for a wedding shower tommorrow followed by drunken debauchery (aka bachelorette party. 👍 )

Then breakfast with my favorite piece of eye-candy on Sunday morning.

study boy?

next time, fly jet blue. the directTV is enough distraction to forget about everything. 🙂

I take xanax when I fly and just sleep through the whole thing. 😳

One time my folks picked me up at the Detroit airport and I think they were a little shocked at how stoned I was.

i'm gonna take sooooo many flights next year when i interview, flying around the country is so exciting. when i was interviewing for med school i was taking a flight every few weeks for a while.

yikes 😱

That's just sick. As I was saying last night, if there's one thing I cannot tolerate its people who do things that are abusive in any form whether it is verbal, sexual, or physical or a combo there of. I don't care if that's what they believe is ritual. There's just some things that are inhumane and that is one of them.

 I did take a ton of flights for interviewing. Thought seeing some other places of the country was fun but didn't like having to fly to get there. 😳 Though that pretty much helped me get over my fear of flying out of sheer necessity and having to do it so many times.

Best interview location - Salt Lake City, I had a blast.

Going to places is definitely exciting.....and so far I haven't let my fear of flying stop me 😀 What I really hate is taking off, landing, and the turbulence.....okay pretty much everything 😀

how come beary?

P.S. I absolutely hate roller coasters too ....that I can definitely do without.....although I have gone on due to sheer peer pressure 😳

how come beary?

Have you ever been there? (I hadn't). It is GORGEOUS. Literally mountains everywhere you look. The Salt Lake is really cool and I spent some time at the parks out there. Also went to the Olympic Park. The city is just really clean and safe and well laid out. I really enjoyed going to Temple Square and stuff too. (It was in December, and I have never seen Christmas lights like that!) I don't ski, but there's tons of skiing around.

I wasn't there for very long and realize that doesn't sound super exciting, but there was so much more stuff I wanted to do. You know how when Brigham Young was taking the Mormons out west, they kept going until they got to SLC and he stopped and said "This is the place." Well, when you see it I can understand why he said that. Seriously. Absolutely beautiful.

Totally agreed! 👍

Sounds like you and I have a lot in common. We like some of the same TV shows too. We should meet up sometime (by ground transport 😉 ). 👍

what?

congrats s&m, even though i have no idea what you're talking about
thanks, i figured no one would.

i had to go through 2250 sets of plantar pressure data recorded from a group of clinical research subjects. i processed the data using a MATLAB code I wrote to determine the arch to heel ratio. small ratio = high arch, large ratio = low arch...you get the picture. we're trying to correlate those ratios to foot disorders. anyway, it's taken me a long time b/c i had to manually export each file to a format that MATLAB could read, but now i am officially done. 🙂

wow, i'm a nerd. 😛

😱

coasters rock rad, one of my favorite rides

ok when push comes to shove i can handle roller coasters 'cause I know it'll be over in a few sec, but like I said only when I know I can't get out of the situation 😳 ......it's the one of those rides that goes around + upside down over and over again that I REFUSE to go on ....like some spaceship type of rides or the buccaneer where it just goes sideways....left and right ....it feels like I'm on it for hours :barf:

All this foot ulcer talk reminded me of Stage IV sacral ulcer that I saw in a geriatric patient 😱 :wow:

haha, so true.

anywho, i'm outta here. catch you guys later...probably in part 8!!

later s&m, thanks for helping us kill this damn-vin-diesel-in-the-first-post-of-the-first-page random thread :barf: :barf: :barf:

i've been pushing myself to post so that i could start part 8 and make sure there is no vd pic in the first post

I know Williams is out there somewhere lurking....cmon you know you wanna post 😀

wow now I wanna go there!

Yeah I can't wait to go back. There are so many national parks around there too - I just didn't have time to do everything I wanted.

I ended up ranking Utah fourth basically just because I loved SLC so much. 😳 I can totally see myself living there - far away from my family though.

yeah, pressure ulcers are horrible. saw a really bad one on a demented patient when i was on geriatrics, poor guy. he couldnt talk or even feed himself, that ulcer must have hurt so bad.
