how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

I'm with you there. I think I'll go pick up the animals from the vet and try the MCAT thing again.

Thanks for the business tips you guys. It's something that's been in the back of my mind for a while now but I keep forgetting to ask.

Can you believe Ford was president when I was born?

I forgot my dogs had a vet appt yesterday 🙁 Didn't realize until 11pm last night.

Ah yes, business tips. My $.02. Doctors in private practice do NOT have the time to see patients and run the practice. End of story. Many docs don't want to have to deal with the BS either of staff issues etc so they have an office manager. I suggest them. BUT having an idea of what they are doing is the main purpose of getting background. I know a doc who started a private practice that is now contracted with a hospital by just taking CC classes in spare time. Accounting mainly. If you are going for an MBA, try to do a residency with a joint degree program. If you did the MBA, I wouldn't suggest doing it without a joint program b/c if you go on your own, you might have to take more classes. I could ramble on and on about more MBA stuff, but it really depends on what you want out of it. If you are just wanting to run a small practice, I will tell you teh MBA is NOT worth the money. You can't run it alone anyway because you will need your lawyer, accountants, billing, office manager etc. If you have a joint practice you need a buffer between you and your employees ... getting your MBA will be helpful, but with the cost of an MBA these days, most current reports say that it might not be worth the money. This is just my opinion though from what I've seen with various doctors.

Oops!

Ours have been boarded since Saturday and Nibbles had surgery for spaying and front claw removal. Poor baby. She was so scared to be left there, too.
awww, I hope she's ok. I can't do the claw removal. Its too sad for me. I just trim my cats and give them plenty of scratching posts. For some reason they like the old couch though. Maybe telling me not to ge rid of it? 😕

Pete came to us fixed and declawed. Nibbles is a fighter, and more than once has scratched Pete up. Even though he's a million times bigger than Nibbles, he just lays there and lets her attack him. She's started to scar him now, so we decided to get the claws removed when fixing her. They're both purely inside cats and have microchips.

Your fancy! Microchips!

How many people are trying to register for the MCAT?

Is this why SDN is so fast LOL😉
probably, most are furiously refreshing the screen.

oh and I still suggest confronting that certain someone .... I've been warned he likes to push boundaries. This is unacceptable ... If youa ren't goign to do it, I will. 😡

Huh?? What's this about?? Did i miss something last night??

Anyhow, g'mornin peepz!!!! How's it going?? I'm so loving this sleeping in thing that I ahve going on for now.

Our dogs have microchips too!

Pets are back and in good health. Nibbles is sore, but very cuddly - yay! I was worried she'd turn into a grumpy cat after the surgery. Pete likes to look out of the window when in the car. I had some strange looks from people because he's so big and standing up looking out of the car window 😉

Max (our dog) just sat in the back like a good boy.

I think my dogs would find away to chew them even if they were implanted in the scruff of their neck
I have to say I agree 100% with this statement!

The AAMC must have thought that only 12 people would register for the MCAT 🙄

If SDN's server can handle this many users, the AAMC one should be able to also.

Grrrr

I hate you already, MCAT

I know, seriously! They should have rolled out by time zone at least ... they will learn ... Didn't you hear, they changed it to 11:59 EST tonight

Ok, TOTALLY off subject (heck, this thread doesn't HAVE a subject)...I am so thrilled that Saddam is gonna hang...and in the next 30 days! Sweet! I know, I know Ana and all of the other left-wingers are going to want to fry me (figuratively of course...go hug a tree) for this thought. But, dude..the guy is horrible.

I'm with you. Except I believe it should have been done already.

LOL!!

I wish they would offer it on Pay-Per-View. Or Al Jazeera so all of those Iraqis could watch. They deserve it.
