how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

Molly! 😍 Have you been working on the cadaver? What sex? Really old?

I have been! My group has a male cadaver -- 89 years old, died of congestive heart failure.

He is sort of awesome, because he was a big guy... not fat, but really tall and pretty muscular. Everything is huge!! The downside is that it takes a long time to do anything because everything is bigger and all the other cadavers are teensy tiny compared to ours so we have to really make a point of looking at other people's cadavers or else we get really screwed up.

Seriously, our inferior mesenteric artery was the size of some other people's large intestines. It's kind of scary!

You know it. I'll be tailgating probably around 3 pm.

That'a boy. God I miss college. Ohio State Penn State last year was without a doubt the greatest day of my life. Tailgating all day, going crazy all night. I felt like someone kicked me in the head 1000 times the next day, but it was worth it.

Don't judge me! You were all thinking it!

A muscular 89 year old? Wow. When did he die? I know one of my friends had someone that died at least more than a year before they began work on it.

**** it. Vandy is getting a crappy pic. They're going to reject me anyway. 🙄

If it makes you feel better, I sent in a pic of me at a bar....I just cropped out the beer/drinks 🙂 Honestly, I think I look professional in it, even though i'm probably drunk.

Since my school begins later than every other school in the country, apparently we get the freshest cadavers. We are not told exactly when our cadaver died, but trust me, he could have stood a few more weeks in the tank or however they are prepared... he was very fresh (as in, steak tartare fresh).

😱

I wonder if every anatomy lab has one cadaver like this. Evo was telling me about some guy in his lab who was just HUGE.

I think maybe he was trying to see how gullible I was.

Wow, if I was drinking water right now, I would've messed up my computer. Just think about what you're saying for a second here. 😉 Cadaver cock. That is all.

Hmmm... yeah, I think he was just telling the truth.

Seriously, people come around to look at our cadaver and go, "Oh my God!"

...they are talking about the liver, usually. Twice the size of anyone else's.

Oh. Ana... you were being messed with, no doubt about it! 🙂

Gross anatomy is rather fun, I must admit, but it is painful at times.

If you haven't heard the song I was sending around, let me know and I will send it to you. It nicely encapsulates all of gross anatomy in a nutshell.

Ah well. 🙄 It's not the first time.

I heard that song last night! It was hilarious!!
