how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

So I've decided to send this youtube clip to Vandy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWyEc7FAMTg

"Lost causes are the only ones worth fighting for."

Sorry - I just had an ah-ha moment driving home from San Antonio. I'm going to be a great doctor no matter where I end up for medical school and I really don't care how long it takes me to get in. Vandy can kiss my butt if they don't see that.

I 😍 that movie soooo much. 😍 😍
Ooooh, I love that movie too!

🙄 first of all, you know that's never going to happen, so don't even bother threatening.

secondly, don't blame ME that you pick the night of one of my big exams to fly in. I'm trying to budget my time and still prioritize you, so *pffffffffffffttttttt* to you. your alternative was cookies made last week which I could have frozen, but then they're not fresh-baked as promised, are they?

and thirdly- you should be proud. It's 9:40, and all I have left to do on my lab report is the discussion. typically I'd be this far at approximately 2am. and my homework, also due tomorrow, has been done since THURSDAY. do you hear me? it was finished FOUR DAYS before it was due.

clearly I have a fever. :meanie:

First of all, blame the admissions office for scheduling me for such an incovenient day. *pffffffffffffttttttt*

Secondly, you should be equally proud of me for finishing my last Victorian literature paper by 10 PM tonight when it's not due until 3 PM tomorrow.

Thirdly, I just wanted to say I do appreciate of all your time budgeting, baking, and prioritizing, all for the expense of someone you've not yet met.

you would make a hell of a psych pt
when I worked at the suicide hotline, we had a couple of discussions about how we could try to fake it to work the system and get someone in involuntarily. we could have done it, too. we even had a coworker who volunteered to be the guinea pig. we figured that if we wrote these really professional affidavits, took her to the state psych hospital ER and she went in there screaming "It's all lies!!! They're framing me!!!!!!" that she'd totally get put in.

damn ethics and codes of professional conduct. 😡 takes away all the fun.

Looks like I need to go kick some adcom butt tomorrow.
😍 No - just let them know that I'm Jimmy Stewart and they're the evil Taylor... and we all know what happens to Taylor at the end. :meanie:

Oh wait...

What, with the interview or putting up with jlw? :meanie:

But thanks!

Um, Both?

:luck: :luck: :luck:
Not that you need it. 😉

you're giving me another reason to be pissed at WashU for their eventual snub of me? why, thank you.

 on your lit paper

yes, I'm a giver like that. and then you go and make nasty statements like above. 😡

The weather has been beautiful here the past few days. 😀 Apparently God listened to my bitching.

Send some of that to the Eastern seaboard. Weekend weather has been absolutely terrible over the past few months!! 😡

Fahrenheit

we don't do that metric thing down here. 😀

Aw, come on! Everyone's doing the metric thing

Funny part is that I am better in metric for temperatures (C) and distances (km), but not so good with weight (I like pounds better than kilos) and height (I like inches rather than cm)

That's funny. The only metric measurement I am good with is kilos because that is how my hospital had us record weights. 🙂
