:wow: I grew up Lee's Summit, the epitome of yuppie suburbia. While Nellyville got ranked as the most dangerous city this year, Lee's Summit came in at 21st safest.

I just saw this.

pingouin is disturbed that ALL Violets (seriously- wth kind of mascot IS that?) are summed up as rich kids. some of us relied on our intelligence, wit, and charm ( :barf: ) to snag 1/2 tuition scholarships to pay for our graduate degrees. 🙂

not everyone can be an Olson twin, you know.

The way he tells it, you'd think he personally wrestled the knife-wielding "terrorist" to the ground. In reality though, he was part of some crowd control as a volunteer firefighter.

I already predicted us having a 6 point loss going into the game. Tennessee was undefeated at home when we came. It was senior night for them. I figured we were cows walking oursevles into a slaughter house.

With that said, under NO circumstances did I think we would get down by that much. I was dumbfounded with how lazy our guys were on defense. We just let them drive to the basket. They don't even have a big man! They're all perimeter shooters.

I think we got our act together in the second half, but Tennessee was turning it down when they were up by that much. I'm glad we're making our freethrows again. We were missing them like crazy before. Also Lee is hitting his 3s. Something he's been terrible with before. The Vols just came out too excited. Senior night so last game at home, Peyton Manning in the crowd, Pat Summit as the cheerleader, no way did I think we'd win. But then again, no way I'd think we'd trail by that much.

I think our guys aren't interested in games right now since we have the #1 SEC seed and are going to the NCAAs. Hopefully I'm not wrong here or I'll be really pissed. If we lose to Kentucky, I think we'll lose in the first round of both tournaments.

you guys dug too great of a grave to win that one in the first half. This does not help your #1 seed in the dance but you'll probably get it anyway

I'm not expecting nor do I want a #1 seed. I think we have ZERO shot at a #1 seed. OSU and UCLA are locks right now imo. UNC will probably get the 3rd with a win over Duke and playing deep in the ACC tourney and Wisconsin will get the 4th by winning out the regular season and playing deep in the Big Ten tourney.

Kansas and Texas A&M don't have a shot imo because their RPI is too low compared to the others and they have very few RPI top wins. Big 12 conf is 7th in conference RPI. SEC is 2nd. http://kenpom.com/confrank.php?y=2007 Since the SEC is 2nd, I still say UF has an advantage over there, but it's pointless because neither of the 3 will get it.

I'm okay with a two seed. I'm not afraid of our guys going up against UCLA, OSU, or Wisconsin. UNC a little, but I don't think we'd be in the same bracket. Georgetown, Kansas, Tennessee (for obvious reasons), SIU (meg 🙂 ), and Memphis are teams that like to upset people. Not teams I want in my bracket.

don't forget, no #1 teams last year made it to the final four. maybe a #2 seed is a blessing in disguise.

I have problems remembering mnemonics for the order of the planents (at least when there were 9) since there are so many different ways you can make them up. So I'd be debating what the mnemonic sentence was instead of just remembering the planet names. :laugh:

I don't know, I tend to remember things better when I make up mneumonics to things. It helped me with certain concepts in MCAT bio back in the day.

Also, I'd like to think in med school where there is a lot of regurgitation it helps a lot too. But different things work for different people. I can think of one person who agree with you though: Pandabear MD. LOL

i'm gonna cancel drexel and SLU interviews... I'll see Michigan State if they offer me one, but I'm pretty much 98% set on Wayne
