there was so much talk about hair while I was gone. 😛

I was trekking around in the city in a shirt and tie and it was so hot. I almost melted right there.

It didn't help that the LIRR was down so I had to take the subway+bus which took 2 hrs to get home. Boy do I love public transportation!

You're in NY, right?

Few things make me as happy as hearing New Yorkers complain.:hardy:

finished with my review for today (or for now). That puts me at ... about 7 hours of direct MCAT review today (well over my typical 4+2). And the "+2" indirect time begins at 6, with night class and then more Chem reading at home. So it'll be more like... +3 or +4 indirect hours today.

That's a LOT of MCAT. :scared:
I'm gonna own that ba$****!

new yorkers are the biggest complainers ever 😀
we have much to complain about
It's true, it's true! I hate New York, so I feel extremely satisfied whenever I hear a New Yorker b!tch about his or her city.:hardy::laugh:

Well, it's kinda slow 'round these parts, I guess I'ma finish up a coupla rows o'knitting and then get onto them lab reports, mmm hmmm.

Don't hate! What's there to hate? The smelly crowded subways? The traffic? The fact that everything here is overpriced? 😀

lucky girl 😎

i just need one trip to the beach and i'll be set. and i ain't talking about beaches in LI 👎thumbdown👎
depending on what my co-vacationers have planned, my plan for the Cape involves a beach chair, lots of sunscreen, and the last Harry Potter book. I'm pretty sure I can get it read within 2 days. 👍

edit: dammit. I get back the 22nd and the book comes out the 21st. aargh.

You forgot the really rude and snappy people. Who are all just SOOOO happy to be there, regardless of the fact that they are all acting like starved pitbulls.

Keep me in Redneck Paradise.:meanie:

I'm thinking about driving down to a beach somewhere this summer. Canada doesn't have any nice summery beaches, and Vancouver (the closest place with a beach) is llike a 30-hour drive away for me, since there are mountains to cross. Might as well drive to Cali, takes about the same amount of time. Florida is a little too far, since I'm more to the West. So I'm thinking about California. Unfortunately, all my California friends are currently in other places, which makes things frustrating, as I'd have no cheap place to crash.

Well, you COULD sleep in my car (the backseat comes down completely flat), but I also need to shower and stuff somewhere.

Ohhh, here's a thought - I go to the Y and my Canadian membership is valid at US Y's, too! I could probably stay in their housing for cheap, or at least go shower for free at the gym.

I shot an e-mail to one of my Californian friends who's currently in Minnesota to see if she plans on going home later in the summer. I was actually also planning to drive to Minnesota for the State Fair, which is in August, so this way I could either pick her up from Cali and drive her to MN or do it the other way around and drive to MN, stay there for a while, and then drive to Cali with her. Hopefully she'll like the idea. I'm big on driving, as you can tell, but not everyone shares my passion for the open road.😎

I think the trick is to just keep to yourself. I hardly ever notice the rude ones anymore.

Oh I wish! It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. I'm going to crawl in my cozy couch for a while now!
I had this brutal headache for 3 days after, it literally felt like someone was hammering nails into my skull.:scared:

But a small price to pay for a 32T.😀

ARGH! 1 lab report down, 8 to go!!!!

Well, 2 to go for tonight (though I'll TRY for 3 tonight). I REALLY wanna get them all done by the end of tomorrow so I can stop worrying about this crap and focus on prepping for the final.

Congrats on finishing the MKitty Meg and rcd!! May the next 30 days go very quickly for you (back in MY day we had to wait 60 days .... *grumble grumble*)

Hi everyone else. 😀

Hair: I had such a pretty updo for my wedding. I was so, so sad to take it down at the end of the day. It was very interesting to get all the bobby pins out and washing it was weird! LOL
