How is it that I got the first post of the morning at 11 am? Funk and PB&J: I'm disappointed in your slacking.

I have never been so happy to see lights in my entire life. My air conditioning is back on. I have computer, and internet. Everything is so nice. I love electricity.

ARGH. Just through me being nice I ended up on autopsy call AGAIN for my very last day. We don't even need a stupid attending IMHO (I have done 50 billion autopsies and all they do is stick their head in anyway). Our attending is sick and I am calling around to everybody in the world to find one. Have already wasted 3 hours of my Sunday. 😡

Now nobody will even return my pages.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the well-wishes. I was going to retake in August, but decided Sep. 7 is the day for me.

After crying for a couple hours Friday night, I went down to the lake house for the weekend to decompress and think about where I went wrong....

A) First off, decompression at the lake house rocks
B) Too much SDN when I should have been studying
C) Too much on my plate in general when I should have been studying (e.g. class, work, work, work, work, then MCAT study)
D) not following the plan I set up from the get-go
E) Getting in a comfort zone with my confident areas and not spending enough time on my weak areas
F) Not enough practice problems
G) Examkrackers was not the way to go for me. I needed structure.
H) Fooling myself that since I first opened the books to study last year that I was "ahead" of the game. See E.

Now that I have 2 months to regroup, I opted for the Kaplan on-line course. I live too far from a live course. Even though it's online, the syllabus is pretty scheduled and I feel more confident with that.

Sorry for the long post, but I'm taking a hiatus until my next MCAT beast is done. Good luck to all the rest of the ladies taking it again in Aug/Sept. I'll still answer PMs though 🙂

I did that. No worries at all. Photopaper is a nice touch. 👍

Sorry meg & mushy!! I know you guys will rock it the next time around. I'm a two-timer on the MCAT, so if there's any advice I can give, questions you want to take, etc...you know I'm around! 😛

i agree gradu8in2003 no sleep is bad .i m still suffering from insomnia but i m fairly accustommed by now i am slightly worried about when school starts in sept bbut i ll take things as they come for the time being caffine is my best friend

Pepsi Max is pretty much one of my best friends these days. 2x the caffeine AND ginseng. 🙂

That's great. I actually know a surprising number of residents who play WoW (well, I don't know if it's more than the general population).

And on the issue of video games, I don't think its just WoW, but any video games.

There was a time video games was mostly played by kids only. Now, its like a lot of adults are really into that stuff. My brothers who are both older then me still love xbox and playstation and computer games too.
