Is that a new kitten Oxeye? S/he's beautiful! I love the blue eyes. What kind of cat is it?

He'll be mine in a week or two. 🙂 He's a Ragdoll.

We're pretty sure we're getting two at this point. There are two others available in his litter. A girl who looks just like him and another male with a little bit different color and markings. I don't know which of those two we'll get. My husband likes the boy, I like the girl. We'll probably decide next week when we go to play with them.

I've finally gotten 5-6 done (besides my letters).
4 more to go!

I have about 10 done and 5 more to go this weekend. And I'm finally complete at a few schools, too.

Still studying for MCAT... not doing FLs until next month

I'm definitely MIA, but it's ok. It's kinda nice not being on the net every non-working waking moment!

Hope the rest of you applying randomites are doing well. Yes, that means everybody.

That's what I thought. My grandmother had a ragdoll. I thought I heard you were going to name him Miu. I love it! Believe it or not, I had a stats prof with that first name. Thought you might appreciate the humor 😉

Hope all is going well with you too! I took a week off from civilization, but my internet habit is now back in full force, I'm afraid 😳

In other news, I got into the Molecular Medicine Medical Science Masters in Science program at USF COM. Just thought I'd share.

Way to go !!

That's quite a mouthful. I'm sure you're going to do awesome!

OK, bedtime for me. I've got some serious thesis writing to do tomorrow, and I'm currently operating on 4 hours of sleep. Night all!

Thank you, you all!!! PB&J, docfunk, and Crazy Canuck I appreciate your well wishes!!!!

Megboo and gradua8in2008, I believe you'll do well. Keep your heads up high.

Same with you Mushy if you are out there.

We are rooting for you!!!!!!!!

Congrats Guju!

Getting ready to get on the plane! :scared:

Went out last night to get the Harry Potter book but didn't have any luck. I really want to get it before I get on the plane.

Hope you are all doing well! 😍

Major procrastination going on here, but I couldn't help but post this. The supermodel falling is funny enough, but the reporters reactions makes it doubly funny 😀

what the french toast??!!

huh? now there's random for you.

Beary,

Thanks for the well wishes. I second Nikki's suggestion of Target. Or for that matter Walmart if no where else. I know all the major bookstores were hosting midnight parties for Harry Potter. i went to books a million yesterday and they had a tv set up in the kids area with one of the harry potter movies and people coming in dressed as their favorite characters. I bet it must have been made crazy at B&N and Borders.

Ow, OW, OWWW!!!!👎

I woke up in some funny position today - it was like a plie squat on my belly, but then my chest was facing the ceiling....oh man, now my lower back hurts soooo bad! OWWWWWW!🙁 I went to step figuring maybe I just need to get some blood flowing there, and while I was ok with working out, it still hurts - it hurts when I'm sitting down (which is practically for all of my waking hours 🙄) and especially when I bend down...yucckckckck. Taking tomorrow off from the gym.👎

LOL. I didn't know that incident made it on youtube. That happened a week and a half ago. I was listening to the radio and they actually played the 911 call and the police on their radios. Hilarious. If I come across those, I will post them.

CC and Jochi, I'm currently watching this show on the History channel about the Ice Road in the Northwest Territory up to all the diamond mines. Its absolutely crazy how they do that in Canada.

Yeah, for sure. I remember seeing something on TV about that. There was a transport truck driver who was describing driving across a frozen lake in the winter during a snow storm. He was saying that he couldn't see a thing, but had to keep driving anyway because the truck will fall through the ice if he stops 😱

Yeah, when I worked in retail, I'd meet lots of colorful characters, and this one guy used to be a long-haul trucker whose regular route was from Alaska to Chile. He said he often had to cross over this one bridge in the mountains (forgot where, but already in South America) which would get flooded like 5 times a year and completely buried under water, so whenever he set out on his drive, he never knew if he'd end up parking there for a week before he could cross. I thought Alaska was the tougher part of the route, but he said it was nothing compared to the mountain roads in South America.

Less than three weeks to go!

Chemistry finishes Tuesday, so it's a weekend of finals and MCAT studying.

I'm getting a bad cold. Uggh.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm keeping my head up and confidence boosted. Let's kick some Mkitty a$$!

Wow, that is definitely one long haul! I wonder why they don't fly the cargo out? 😕

Sounds like a big adventure, although I couldn't see myself doing something like that more than once

I think I'll knit this manly scarf for my father's 50th birthday:
http://grumperina.com/knitblog/shiftingsands.htm

What do you think? A lot of tiny cables, so it'll probably take a lot of time, but his birthday is not till October 30th, so I'm sure I won't have a problem with it. I think it's manly enough...:meanie:

Ooooh, very intricate! What colour are you going to do it in? I can't say I'm a huge fan of the brown.

I have a scarf from last winter that I didn't finish. Maybe I'll pick it up again in the fall. I'm only a rookie knitter though, so it's a verrrry basic scarf.

I'm thinking a dark brown (like, chocolate) or a forest green...something like that. Maybe with some sort of specks in the yarn.

I finally caved in and went to buy an AC.....only to learn that EVERY store in town is sold out!

I don't wanna buy online, because ground shipping is $40 AND takes 2 weeks.😡

🙁

I like the idea of forest green or even a dark blue color might look nice.
Yeah, blue would look good, but he doesn't wear much clothing in navy or blue....I have to make sure the scarf matches what he generally wears.

DrD. We're the only ones here who don't have to behave ourselves since we're not advisors or anything
I KNOW!!!! I'm seriously going to die because I'm bursting at the seams with cusswords I am not allowed to share.:laugh::laugh:
