Random non-MCAT and only peripherally related to the MCAT thread

Well check out your teacher at pickaprof.com or ratemyprofessor.com or any of those sites. I got a highly recommendd profesoor that was boring but really brought lab to life. I do have to say, I have worked alot in the class but not as much asI probarly should for my A 😉 I'm on the borderline of B/A right now wtih an 89 but I'm also taking physics, ochem, and physiology as well.

I didn't think it was that bad and it corresponded with alot of items in physio. My teacher gave us great study materials though so I'm going to say it depends on the teacher. But I don't think its that bad. I hope you get a better physics teacher than I had. I do enjoy my ochem teacher even though he's hard.

Looks like micro and physics profs are ok, but ochem ratings stink. Oh well.

lol chem usually always stink but maybe if you can find a hard professor that at least teaches you ...

🙂 the reports are that the ochem guy gives hard tests and adds material not covered in class.

I take that with a grain of salt, though, because usually the ones complaining about tests like that are the ones that don't read the chapter or do homework - just study off of class notes. 🙄

At this point, I just say "Bring it". I've got to do it sooner or later, and I think the general consensus is that Ochem is no walk in the park.

More time to post 😉

Or update your blog. I need to do that. On happier topics!

I updated last night with comments on the Duke rape stuff going on.

People probably won't like what I have to say though.

Beary! Don't you lo-o-ove sleeping in?!

I'm going to Villisca this weekend with the ghost-hunting group 😉

Does anyone see the specific heat equation and only think of MCAT?

...delta == /\

Q = mc/\t

Man I missed the good disscussion about CRNA vs MD :laugh: Maybe they could take a page from the Random thread (just kidding lurking allnurses.com people - don't kill me please).

I agree that for liability reasons the doctor should always be in charge. My dad kinda brought me up to really respect nurses because they work so hard and get very little respect from patients and most doctors. I'm trying not to let that petty stuff I was reading last night lower my opinion of nurses; I know the majority of them are absolutely amazing and terrific at their jobs!

Give me the authority of a doctor though for my career 😳

:laugh: I honestly never thought about it that way until my Kaplan teacher pointed it out.

I internalized that idea so completely that a couple of times I found myself desperately trying to remember what the "a" was for. :laugh:

Yeah, I'm an idiot pretty much of the time.

Hey Mushy,

Re: Micro class - do you find it hard at all?

I'm thinking about adding it to my fall schedule w/ orgo and physics. i know there's probably a lot of "busy" work, but if it's not "hard" then I might go for it.

the only hard thing about micro was the damn gram stains.

Dude, I really don't want to go to class or lab. In my micro class everyone is giving disease presentations which are as boring as hell. I don't give a rats ass and would rather have my professor lecture about this. *sigh*

the only thing i hate worse than giving a presentation is listening to other people's presentations. powerpoint frustrates me
