I know...it's a very sad day when they do away with the cookie monster and replace him with the fruit and vegatable monster. It just doesn't work! It's time we stop blaming the cookie monster for childhood obesity 🙄 He just ain't that powerful...or is he?

my weekend is gonna suck so much, i have 2 midterms next wk and im so behind in both classes, time to study like crazy :scared:

but even though i dont have time to do other stuff, i always have time for sdn, hehe 😉

On the south african version of seseme street they introduced a character with HIV

Jeez, that seems a little adult for Sesame Street.

My niece is 2 and her world revolves around Sesame Street and especially Elmo. I would have to have to explain HIV to her!

I heard that. Since it's a part of many people's lives there, I think it's cool. I never heard if she was supposed to have gotten it congenitally, or what though. I wonder what the rest of the characters on that version of the show are like.

I used to watch sesame street as a kid too.

I liked it better then the stupid show they have now a days on Nickalodean called.......Blues clues.

Not to change the topic, but these were my favorite shows as a child:

Rainbow Bright
Carebears
Smurfs
Story hour on Nickolodean
Koalas
and when I was like 4 or 5, sesame street and Mr. Rogers!!!!!

Both children's entertainment and prime time television sucks these days in comparison to what it used to be like when we were growing up.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Eureka's Castle
Seseme street
Mr. Rogers
Fraggle rock

omg--there used to be this show on the Disney channel a long time ago (when i was like 3) called Dumbo's Circus--i lived in the Bahamas and i would sit every morning, eat pears, and watch dumbo's circus.

I liked those (minus story hour and koalas) as well as my little pony, gummi bears, thundercats, chip-n-dale rescue rangers, ducktales, and tailspin. I also have a guilty pleasure for blues clues and spongebob now.

Oh and I LOVED ALF 😛

yeah--it was pretty cool. I lived there from when I was 2 to when i was 4 so I remember some things--i remember mainly the good parts (our house, the beach, etc.) but my mom tells me stories about how if you went inland, it was not good and there was a lot of crime. oh my gosh--one time my mom woke up in the middle of the night because she heard a little clicking sound, and she turned on the light and there was a crab ON THE WALL!! lol!

I always thought amish people did not buy things from commercial grocery stores , but rather grew things on their own. I also thought they didn't believe in using technological things.

This is what someone told me in Sarasota, cuz there's tons of them out there but they always on their bikes and don't like anything related to technology.

i heard their philosophy is just to not let technology take over their lives but that they dont shun it completely, ie the Amish Wal-Mart
