i've gained like 5 pounds since starting med school but i think part of that is all the coffee i'm drinking now 😳

most people in my class are fit and most look the same now as they did when we started
Um. Would not the coffee just make you pee alot? Do you make it half coffee, half cream?

i needs the texture of the cream
Ugh!!!
I'm a coffee junkie, but I swore off cream. Most places I go, they put the milk, cream, and sugar in for you. However, one time I went to a self serve place and put wayyy to much cream in my coffee. It felt like I was drinking butter, it was almost greasy. I have not had cream in my coffee since. But like jtank, I could probably use it because of my freakish metabolism thing I've got going on.

hi. looks like you have fast metabolism too, do you know of any particular foods that help to reduce the amount of cortisol and thyroxine in the blood? i know there are drugs out there, but i dont think its that severe for me. im guessing both of us have a higher-than-normal thyroid gland, which causes increased lvls of thyroxine in the bloodstream, therefore faster metabolism. i dont know about you, but i get hungry really fast, like in 2 hrs.
i know that increased lvls of cortisol is caused by stress, i think it also contributes to metabolism, but not completely sure.
the worst time for me, physically, is during exams, not only do i have stomach problems, but stress lvls are high as well, so i start sweating and increase heartrate and stuff like that sometimes.
arsenic, where are u?? 🙂

BTW, am I the only one that prefers his coffee black???
As Arsenic will tell you, I prefer his coffee black. He just won't drink it that way, because he's obsessed with "texture".

I like mocha frappes. I make them at home. YUM.

House is the only show I watch regularly. And, I can only do that because my roomate tells me when it is on. She dressed like House for Halloween and walked around "being crabby like Dr. House." Good times. 👍

i still cant believe hugh laurie is british, i know i told you this already banana but i saw an interview with him and i was in shock listening to him with his thick british accent.

My roomate is now bordering on nuts over this show. There was some blurb at the end of this episode about how Dr House's parents show in the next episode. She was gushing about what actors could possibly be good enough/big enough to play Dr House's parents. I told her she could probably look on the TV Guide website and find out. Then she was like "NO! I don't want to know!" in this melodramatic voice. She was serious though. It's getting a bit creepy.

Sorry about the delay responding. I was in midtermland, but now I'm through all that stuff. Yay freedom!!
I've thought about the possibility of having a more active thyroid gland, but I've never really thought of looking into foods that reduce cortisol. If there are any, I would be interested in knowing what they are, especially around exam time 😛 any thoughts anyone?
