Is it okay to send a recommendation on a paper without the company's logo on it. Say the pharmacist just puts his personal contact information on the recommendation. What else will he need to add so the school knows they are an actual pharmacisit-thanks

i think that happened to me, and all i told the pharmacist to do was put (name)PharmD. or wat not, and then write the LOR, seal it in an envelope and sign his name across the sealed area, and put tape over the name, so it shows that no one opened it and stuff...i dunno if that makes sense or helps...lol

That should be fine but just double-check with schools, especially the ones that require LORs be directly mailed to them, to see if they require official letterheads on every LOR. In general, it's not needed for pharmacy schools though.

I actually had the same problem and e-mailed some schools to ask as if was OK to have the recommendation letter with no letterhead... the school admission person told me (it was for Ohio State University) that they prefer letterheaded letters.. so I actually went to the regional business office of the pharmacy I work at and got letterhead papers.

many schools seem to prefer official looking recom. letters, since anyone can write their own if they wanted to.. but then again, it really depends on which school you are applying to..
