I think I'm going to make this website my homepage lol. Wish I could be this obsessed with studying...then I wouldnt need to worry about getting in to pharm school so much! ohhhhh welll...haha
Can anyone help me out with these questions?

1) do any 4-year programs do early decision? I've only seen them for 6 year schools, but I my have missed it…

2) If I'm trying to retake a couple classes this summer to bring up Cs, does it matter if I take them at a 4-year school or CC? Would getting an A at a CC not mean as much?

3) I heard its easier to get into newer schools. Anyone know which schools are new or ones that are opening?

4) Also, is there a way to find out how many out of state students are accepted? For some schools it seems like the only accept in-state or their own students...seems like a waste of time to even try to apply there. Do most private schools accept either in-state or out of state equally?

Yes, several do, some without PCAT requirement, some with. http://pharmcas.org has a quick index to all their ED schools, non-pharmcas schools you'd probably have to search on a school by school basis. For instance, I know LLU has a priority deadline and then an absolute deadline.

Answer varies depends on the adcom. I personally think it doesn't matter, but then again, it's not my decision.

Newer schools tend to have the stigma of "what if they don't get accredited" or "they're not as good as other schools because they're brand new." As such they tend to get fewer applications and have more favorable applicant/acceptance ratios. This is not 100% accurate, UCSD has horrible applicant/acceptance ratios, but my impression is that the generalization is mostly correct.

Individual school websites and occasionally pharmacas's institutional data will have this, if it's published at all. You can also try aacp's institutional data page for demographic stats. It's a little dated, but nice to have.

This AACP report shows how many in-state and out-of-state students entered each pharmacy school in 2005.
