If a robot were to take the MCAT and mark all answers at random, how much would it score? I guess I am interested in knowing how much a person would score on the MCAT if he decided to mark answers at random.

Probably around 25% since it's marking answers randomly? That would translate to a raw score of about 36/144.

What would be even more interesting is to see if we could get a supercomputer to perform well the MCAT (something like Watson on jeopardy).

I'm interested in why you think a whole robot needs to get involved, instead of a simple computer program that can generate random responses.

Hahahahah. 👍

Why do you keep making bad threads?

That's a judgmental way of looking at it but if you think this is a bad thread, then you need to feel free to move on instead of wasting your time reading comments and responding to the thread. But let me explain why I started this thread. I was reading a thread on the Caribbean where people took a poor guy to task because his wife scored a 5 on verbal, saying that randomly marking on the MCAT should give someone over a 5. I didn't want to derail that thread but I was wondering how much a person would score if he randomly marked answers on the MCAT.

Only one way to find out... Sign up for the real thing and mark every single answer as B... Report back when you get your score!

If a robot were to post a crappy thread and ask stupid questions at random, how badly would it get flamed? I guess I am interested in knowing how badly a person would get flamed if he decided to ask stupid questions at random.

Easy way to find out: do an AAMC and choose the "paper" option and you'll be asked to enter your answers for scoring. Just randomly guess for everything and see what the outcome is.

Answer: Around a 3PS 2VR 3BS (8 composite)
