You can sometimes get the lays ones depending on how hard you look (at least in NC), but for some reason they're just not a thing here. I smuggle piles of chips and various candy home every time I visit the fam in Canada.I always get pj's from the cat too lol
You don't have dill pickle chips?!?
I should wear this to my friend's (she's a Pennwe, former poster here @fookiekat) wedding:That pair of underwear is more amusing to me than I should be. I want.
I want toothless socks
And grumpy cat socks
Someone find me some, please. 🙂

Attention Boston area SDNers. ( @Minnerbelle @kaydubs , and whoever else I forgot. )
I have suddenly been drafted to accompany MrsSOV to Boston for some conference she is speaking at...
I will bringing the infamous SOV IGs, so there is a rare opportunity to meet me and my dogs, and maybe even MrsSOV.
If you want to stop by and say hi (Meridien Hotel in Cambridge), let me know.
And if any of you who I can trust wants to baby sit the dogs on Friday or Saturday night while MrsSOV and I have dinner, a small thank you fee can be arranged. Easiest couple of hours ever... loving my adorable dogs.
Sorry if I forgot who is where.... you know... old man problems.
Got here just after midnight. Wow there are a lot of drunk people in boston on st. Patrick's day.Lemme know when!

That would be very sweet of you, but don't overdo running into the city. I am sure we will be back again at some point. But of course, if you make it, would love to see you.I work Sat, and depending on how late I get out I may or may not be able to drive into the city but I shall try. Keep me posted on what your plan for sat is.

The St. Paddy's Day parade is an experience you shouldn't miss 😛That would be very sweet of you, but don't overdo running into the city. I am sure we will be back again at some point. But of course, if you make it, would love to see you.
Right now we are still planning on leaving Sunday morning, but won't make final decision until weather situation is clearer.
SO is working in Boston anyway so it wouldnt take much to go in for dinner or whatever. Just depends on weather and how busy it gets. If I leave work at like 5, and the weather's good, I'll likely go in. If you're there maybe we can meet up and if not, we'll make it a date night. That would be very sweet of you, but don't overdo running into the city. I am sure we will be back again at some point. Help! What would you guys do in this situation?!
The weather says we're going to get more heavy rain and possibly more floods Wednesday night. I planned to leave for spring break Thursday night after an exam, but now I'm uncertain. The entire interstate home shut down the last time it flooded, and some of my hometown was underwater as well. I'm scared to know what will happen this time, with water just now starting to really recede in some places. My parents are very worried. Would it be ridiculous to email my professor and ask if I could take my exam after break so I don't risk getting flooded in or worse? I plan to wait tomorrow to see what the forcast really says. I just think it'd be unfair to the rest of the class if I did this, especially since it's based on a weather forecast.
I could, but that would be tomorrow and I'm studying for another test that's also tomorrowCould you take it early instead?
Is there a possibility your school will shut down in anticipation of the storms?

Best of luck!
I didn't want to freak you out before you got things resolved, but now that you have...
We had re-flooding repeatedly last spring. Once the ground is saturated, heavy rains can cause areas to flood again quickly. The main road into and out of my town flooded badly and then reflooded shortly afterwards. So, it probably is not a bad thing to get your exams over and get to higher ground.
Be safe!

You don't have dill pickle chips?!?
We do now, but no ketchup chips.
I only really miss two things about Canada: my friends and good poutine.
I really enjoy Harvey's veggie burgers and fries (with vinegar!) I've never had poutine, but I really want to try a veggie version!
What about looking at Couchsurfers or something? Since it's only 2 weeks, maybe you can rotate? I don't know.I have a two week externship this summer at a clinic that's an hour and 20 minutes from my parent's house. They don't provide housing. Can't decide if I want to make the drive every day (which is partly on the PA turnpike with tolls) or pay for a place to stay...
Depends on how good your parents' cooking is.I have a two week externship this summer at a clinic that's an hour and 20 minutes from my parent's house. They don't provide housing. haha! My parents don't cook a lot since they spend so much time at the track with their horses, esp on race days. My husband's grandma (who is in the same town as my parents) on the other hand...Depends on how good your parents' cooking is.

You didn't know about my secret husband? @brightimpressio has come to terms about him already, he's just such a sweetheart! 😛For some reason I was reading you as being @SummerTheLynx (STL), not STB and I was extremely confused about the husband part since I thought STL was dating BI and then there was mention of a husband....
Your friends and poutine miss you too.We do now, but no ketchup chips.
