I had the scariest dream a few months ago....

I was sleeping when *something/someone* tied my ankles together. Then I was suddenly being drug around by my ankles out of my bed, onto the floor and being lifted into the air. The creepiest part was that there was *no one* around.

I wake up from my "dream" in a panic and when I wake up there is rope tied up around my ankles. So I am attempting to untie it, panicked because I have no clue WTF just happened....

AND THEN....

My alarm clock went off and I actually, really woke up. There was nothing around my ankles, but it still scared the crap out of me. Dream withing a dream is not fun...

:scared: I would be so freaked out from a dream like that.

THAT was adorable. Even if he does have something wrong with him (rather likely?) is kind of beside the point in light of the fact that he seems so happy and is so loved.

He is cute...

The end of the video states that he has a mild condition that can be cured through a risky surgery, but since he is otherwise happy/healthy and should live a full life his owners have opted to not risk the surgery.

His gait looks somewhat cerebellar to me, but when he was eating I didn't see intention tremors. I wonder if he has COMS. I have a dog with primarily cerebellar disease as well. Her movement isn't quite as bad as that, though. She's a pretty happy dog.

I think so, too!

Some of the dogs in our guide dog program sometimes go to a jail program like that. They love the dogs and really enjoy working with them.

So I'm working at the LA VTH now, cleaning stalls. I was told by somebody that's technically animal experience because my supervisor is not a vet. Is that true? Or can I count it as vet experience because it's at a vet hospital (like a kennel assistant working at a SA hospital)? It would help so much with my hours if it counted as vet experience..

I would think that just by the nature of the work it would be considered animal experience. Maybe once you are there for a bit, the vets will let you go along and shadow them, and you could count the shadowing as vet experience 😕

I've got about 60 hours of shadowing there. I think that's what helped me get the job. But I don't know how much time I'll have during the semester to get shadowing time again..
 
Unless you are assisting with treatments, and with the vet the majority of the time, it only counts as animal experience, IMHO.

Kennel Assistant is under animal experience, unless assisting the vet with treatments in the kennel area.

Even though I do treatments and shots and such at the dairy, it does not count as vet experience because the vet isn't there. It's just animal experience. Daily dairy happenings.
