I'm so addicted to Target...

Target is amazing. Too bad the one here is even more difficult to get to than Walmart (still 2 buses, but unlike Walmart there's no bus stop right at Target's parking lot). I did go right when I was moving in though. I had a gift card and I got sooo much great stuff for the house.

Also a nerf gun. You know, for the zombies.

Yeah, it's kind of a problem when I go in there sometimes. Except I was rather disappointed by their clothes today. Not nearly as cute of a selection as normal.

Be glad you don't have a car! I probably went like twice a month while at school. It was closer to me than there is one now. And that one has a better clothes and shoes sections than I have now. And it's still a problem here!

Looks awesome, TT! And that old oven? I have one of those.. Haha

That looks AMAZING TT. I bet you feel fantastic getting to walk into that kitchen every day.

Wooo Caloric!

It was so small, and there was a weird hangy-down thing inside that *may* have been the temp thing. The light never worked either.

One day, it just wouldn't light. I can't say I was too sad about it. I kinda hated that thing. :lame:

We had a light that worked the first few days but then just quit. I'm a bit nervous about using it. Hahaha

Emiloo - where did you find that pencil pouch? SO cute!

Wow, TT!! That looks gorgeous now--I'm impressed (and kind of jealous, but you earned it)!

Half marathon photo spam... I'm the chick, not the SOV/LIS look alike.

VERY nice!! 👍 I hope I can look half that good during my 1/2 in November. Knee's been bugging me lately though and my training has fallen off...

Can we know your time? Sure you did great!

Oh, you can know it. But good... that's all relative. I stayed even between the 2:40 and 2:50 pacer the whole way, so I was consistent at least.

2:45:30 total for an average of 12:38 min/mile. The guy I ran it with finished in 1:30:23, made me feel like molasses.

And you'll look fab, I know it! 🙁 about your knee though.

 I nearly spit out my drink reading this!

I'm impressed with anyone who runs 1/2's and full marathons! Great job! I die when I run even 1 mile. My body loathes running.

Woooo, good job FTB!!!! Happy to hear there are other runners on SDN 🙂

So when are you going to run a full? I've done half a dozen or so halfs and a couple fulls. The full is a completely different beast but so totally doable!!

I LOVE RUNNING!!!!!

Haha, I take it you despise running 😛

Bleh. I honestly have never been able to run properly due to skeletal issues so we've just never gotten along. It's painful for me so eff it 😉

I'd post a picture from a duathlon I did recently but I can't figure out how to get pictures to show up in the thread 😕

I can only figure out how to attach, like this:

If you want the picture to show up in the thread and not as a link, you need to host it somewhere else (flickr or whatever) and then put the URL in when you click the yellow 'Insert Image' button above.

Make sure it's sized to where it doesn't stretch out the thread and stuff.

Lies....

After you attach the picture like you have, click on the paperclip again at the top, it should show all of the pictures you have added so like the one you did above... "batman". Just click on that and it should pop up in the thread. You should actually see in your post:

(The x's will be numbers though.)

(Also make sure it isn't too big, but usually attachments have a limited size.)

See....

Woo! I figured it out! You are a genius DVMD!

I did a few triathlons this summer and decided I absolutely hate the swimming portion ... this was at a duathlon (running and biking) and was super fun!

Sure, lies. Now try and upload a larger picture or gif. Problem? You have to host it on another site with a larger size limit. Then it works how I said. :d

Ya, there are size restrictions for the attachments, if you want to upload a larger pic then you have to use a host site, I tend to just resize the file (but I am a bit of a computer geek)... that is the only limit. But anything that you are able to get to show up as a linked attachment you should be able to insert directly into the thread via what I said above. 🙂

Nice work!! And don't worry about the 1 1/2 hour folks - I've concluded they are super human. Like the people who can run a 5K in something like 20 minutes! What matters is that you kept consistent and you finished!! YAY!!

I finished my 10 miler in the spring in a little over 2 hours; so my hope is to do the 1/2 between 2.5 and 2.75 in an upright position.

And thanks for the sympathy on the knee; but this is what I get for looking to jog on a joint that's been operated on four times and has the health of someone more than twice my age. The one thing I can give it all is that the jogging really has helped me some - my arthritis has been feeling better at times. There are days I wish I had done this ten years ago...

My biochem professor told us about a game you can play For Science: http://fold.it/portal/

I haven't tried it yet because I've actually been studying biochem.

It's extremely addicting, and takes up a lot of time. But it's soooo fun and sometimes very frustrating to get that last few points! Folding proteins. It does take a while to get the hang of it, but you are actually helping science by playing!

Hmmmm, I haven't 'played' in a few weeks. Maybe tomorrow, after I work a double tonight/tomorrow.

There's a corgi here with the markings and look in his eyes like a Husky. It's kind of creepy. I like Huskies, but having that look come at me from such a small dog is weird.

Work is almost done. Only 30 more minutes!

Happy autumn!!

(at least, in the northern hemisphere. otherwise, Happy spring!!)
