Omg don't do it! I went along with a friend yesterday and spent WAY too much money. It's a trap!! :scared:

Look what I found there yesterday (but resisted purchasing)!

...but I really really want it. But I don't ned more coffee cups. But....want....I could have chai tea with milk in it. Wouldn't that be perfect? Chai tea in a jellyfish cup? Yes, Target, yes....

You managed to say no to something at Target????
Teach me your ways...and I totally want the jelly fish mug. My favorite one right now is my Mike Wazowski mug because it's giant and green...and giant.

I walk into Target to buy like, some paper towels or something, and end up spending at least $40 EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.
 
We don't have a target.

It makes me sad.

But it's probably good for my wallet, because every time I drive down to OKC I end up spending lots of money at the one there.

That mug is adorable. And yes, I would also put chai tea in it...I don't care that I have like 3 mugs from school and more mugs that match my plates, I want a jellyfish mug. :laugh:
 
Now I want to go to Target. I know I need most toothpaste....
 
i have the hugest target problem also. so glad i'm not closer and it's out of my way from most other things to go there.

also trader joe's, which is silly almost because it's a grocery store. but, it's all amazing and reasonably priced and yummy.
 
So I didn't just go to Target, I also went to Marshalls and Kohls and Old Navy, but I managed to not be TOO bad. I mostly got useful things like a toiletry bag, TSA approved travel bottles for shampoo, etc, travel size toothpaste an shaving cream, normal size shaving cream, giant conditioner, warm socks, bras so I don't have to wash underwear every 3 days, a mini umbrella for my purse, razors, and a purple scarf covered in bicycles. Maybe I didn't need the scarf, or the umbrella, or so many socks, but oh well. And THEN I got an ice cream cone because its like 70 degrees outside.
 
I got some Target gift cards for Christmas.... I easily spent those gift cards and then some while I was there.... Got my Target shopping out of my system though... which is good since there is no Target in the UK...

That made me a little sad while I was over there. Although I do like Primark even though it isn't the best quality. And Next. And Top Shop.

Trader Joe's is the worst for me, too. I don't tend to buy "stuff" too much so target and the such aren't too bad, but food? oh god let's stuff the fridge with produce. And I definitely need a sixth type of cheese. Mmm that pesto looks good.... etc.

When I was at my grandma's place, they said that some Zeller's that were going out of business were being converted to Targets. This was in BC, though, not sure about the other side of the country. 😛

Rumour has it that the Zellers in Charlottetown is one that will be converted to a Target 🙂
 
Instead of studying, I'm looking at guinea pigs at a rescue in MD that was recommended to me and a classmate by one of the exotic vets at VHUP. They have sooo many cute ones and my little guy really needs a friend. Best part is that everyone is spayed/neutered so there will be no babies and hopefully no fighting since my guy is still intact.

Got home from a 12 hour shift (really almost 13 today) about an hour ago. Can't fall asleep yet despite being tired. Last night I was up til 330am (thanks, sudafed), then some birds woke me up at 7am. I think they were fighting. Then I finally fell back to sleep maybe an hour before my alarm and had to be at work by 10. Not a good way to go into a long work day.

awwww piggies!!! 😍 piggies are the best. i love them 😀 be sure to read your piggy though - i always felt bad for mine being by herself a lot of the day, but i just had a feeling she wouldn't want a buddy. sure enough, when i fostered 2 several months later, she beat them up, was super mean to them, and HATED their presence in the house! i was amazed how on point i was about her feelings towards other pigs (since we're talking about a GP here and not a dog or cat!!)

I think he'd like a friend bur I know what you mean. I'm currently pet sitting two piggies (both females) and he's a lot more vocal and seems inquisitive about them in that he will talk back (and not "the get away" from me noise"...more like the "lonely piggie" noise according to the rescue site) and come to the side of the cage closest to them to get a better look. They haven't interacted since he's not neutered and they're not spayed. That's one reason I really want to see if this rescue will consider letting me look at some of their piggies. They set up a little "meet and greet" to make sure it's a good fit. Only bummer is that I'm outside of their 2 hour radius.
 
I get about 10+ requests/day from this one friend on FB to play all of these darn games... farmville, etc, etc... I don't even pay attention to what they are. I usually just ignore them, but it is seriously starting to get ridiculous the amount of requests I receive from her.... Who has the time to play all of these things?? And quit sending me the requests... I don't want them, they are annoying.

aww thats cute 🙂 Penny was super rotten towards them - and all the angry piggie noises that go with it! she was not sorry to see them go for sure haha. perhaps because it was 3 females? i tend to think it was because she wanted her human and food all to herself -she's pretty darn spoiled!!

outside their 2 hour radius to adopt? or meet up with? because i just got a dog from a rescue organization that only adopts locally, and they didn't care one bit that i spend 8 months of my year in another COUNTRY or that she had to fly to get there with me. i thought for sure they were going to take one glance at that and be like hahahahahha NO. instead, i think they saw "vet student" and began drooling over her future medical care prospects :laugh:

I think there's a way to turn that off. But I totally feel ya ... I hate game requests too.

They didn't specify but I think it was to adopt. I'm hoping that by saying I'm a vet student and that they were recommended to me by a vet in our exotics ward that maybe they'll allow it. If not, I'll ask if they know of any places in my area that do meet and greets.


And one of the female piggies I'm watching is like that. She doesn't like the other one and will click at her if she comes near that side of the cage. They're housed separately for that reason (and the one has medical issues) so at least there isn't any fighting. The other girl just wants to play with other piggies so I wish Mowgs was neutered so they could have play dates.

Go to the request, click that thing in the upper right hand corner of the post. Block the game! Voila! No more requests from that game, EVAH! 😀

I have time for 1 game on FB, and only play a couple times a week.

I don't know how my friends find time to play 5+ games every. single. day.

I've heard that too, but apparently that's been circulating for a while? I would be so happy if it happened while I was here though!

My officiant for my wedding ceremony's name is Jesus (hay-zeus) and I just got an email from him. So the gmail thread says "me, Jesus" :laugh:
 
My wrist, which I had a plate and screws put into in October of 2011, is hurting. Not sure if from weather changes (it is currently 70 and rainy, but a cold front is coming through soon) or residual from taking a rather bad fall off of a runaway horse at the beginning of last week. Boo Hiss.

Saw The Impossible tonight. It was a good movie, but totally stressed me out.
 
My sister is thinking about applying to med school, so I was doing some poking around looking at application business and what not. How the heck do you narrow down med schools when there are 140 some of them? I had a hard enough time narrowing down vet schools. And even then it went like this: what are the cheapest ones that I meet the requirements for and think I might not kill myself at? 6 of them? Ok done. Though that may have been after many months of agonizingly looking at each one individually. Long randomness short, I don't envy her and I'm going to stop looking at it because it makes my brain hurt.

That's what I told her. I also told her to poke around for a bit to look at the dynamic before she starts posting. It's definitely different over there.

Just warn her to read a lot before asking a duh question (or to make sure she doesn't ask a duh question) because that's annoying even over here. And expect some people to be jerks, but know there are nice ones too. Being polite, intelligent sounding, and using the search function will really go a long way.
