I've been saying jif for like 20 years. Not much hope of it changing now xD

I say jif
gif just does't sound right to me! giiiiif. ew

How exciting! Where do you stand on the hotdog argument for the win/loss/ hahathisishilariousthatthisishowwespendourfreetime.

I think Google Maps needs to have a "most reasonable route" option. Yes theres shortest time and shortest distance, but does either one of those really matter if you wind me down a whole bunch of random streets to save 60 seconds and then I miss my turns because I'm very confused? silly.

I finally got an MRI for my shoulder. Boy, should I have gone for an open MRI! Next time I won't give myself so much credit...I definitely won't go for closed ever again. I knew I had some degree of claustrophobia, but thought I could tough it out. Nope.

I'm glad I don't have any kind of claustrophobia since I've had to have a CT scan and two MRI/MRVs of my head in the last few months. I actually fell asleep during the MRIs.

I always nap during MRIs.
I think I hyperventilated myself into a nap. Either that, or 30 minutes goes by reaaaally fast when you're having an anxiety attack. My anxiety settled down a little bit when I tried distracting myself (I was planning my dinner for the night...), but got really bad when my entire arm went numb. I had to place my shoulder in a 'holder' thing that eventually cut off circulation and also did a good job at pressing on the most painful points in my shoulder. Hopefully it gives me the answers I need.

I want to adopt a pet mouse from the wildlife center breeding/feeding stock.. It is an adorable, pure tan, little hopper, same color as your standard hamster. I really don't want it to be euthanized and fed to something... And mice are super easy and cheap to care for. Plus they are so smart and cute!! And this particular one is super sweet! But I already have 2 dogs, a cat, a snake, and an aquarium full of fish. Someone tell me I don't need any more pets! :arghh:

LOL, that's what my SO says. "the cat will get him!" and "the snake will smell him and bite us!"
But my come backs to him are that well, he's going to be euthanized anyways so no great loss if the cat kills him a little later... and what is soap for if not to erase mousy smells on your hands before handling the snake??

I actually found the mouse because I was searching for some good sized feeder mice to euthanize to feed my snake with.. But I couldn't bring myself to kill this one! SOOOO cute and sweet!

I think you need the mouse.

One of the vets I work with has 3 dogs, 2 cats, a bird, and two aquariums full of fish. So clearly it would be ok for you to have a mouse 😉

mice are not super nice and can give you diseases like LCMV, tetanus, etc. Also, how traumatizing would it be for the mouse to have a cat constantly watching it?

I knew a vet who had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 3 African greys, two rabbits, a tortoise, and, seriously, and entire garage full of venomous snakes and other reptiles.

Get the mouse.

My house, between my roomie and I, has four ferrets, six snakes, two cats and 2-3 dogs at a time, pending petsitting/fostering/etc. We've also had foster turtles fairly regularly and fish. Only thing I'll never have is a birds... 🙂

I'm thinking about putting him in the guest room where the door stays closed. A mouse was my first pet.. I got her in the 4th grade and she died the summer before high school. Her name was Pepper. She knew her name, was partially litter box trained, and the sweetest thing ever. She ended up dying because my little brother opened her cage and forgot to close it, and my moms cat got her. It was awful 🙁
I'm not so worried about diseases because I work with them all the time at multiple jobs anyways... Ugh. But my SO really doesn't want another pet. He knew what he was getting himself into when he started dating me, right? 😛

ok. you should know the risks and benefits of any pet. Living with a rodent is more dangerous than working with them in terms of certain diseases.

My bun sleeps like this! Or full out on his side or with his legs in the air. Sometimes I have to poke him to make sure...

I'm not a huge fan of the dead bunny flop. It's jarring despite the fact that rabbits only do it when they feel comfortable and secure.
My rabbit gets incredibly limp and takes a second to wake up so it's a minor heart attack every time I catch her slumped over. Rabbits are jerks.

Aww, I love mice! I had pet rats for years, so of course I think you should take the mouse cause they're basically mini rats 😉

I've been wanting to adopt some more rats lately. Mine all past away shortly before college starts and I haven't had anymore since. The shelter does have a few in right now....

My sister had rats. They are awesome pets!! That's great that the shelter has done for adoption, I didn't know they did that. We did have a bunny at my local shelter once!

The shelters around here have so many rodents and rabbits for adoption! We also have a few bunny rescues, ferret rescues and a rat rescue. It's probably a regional thing, but our shelters are pretty good about taking in rodents.

mice are not "mini rats" they usually have completely different temperaments. Also physiologically, they have some major differences. Rats typically have social structures that mice don't.

Yes, I know. It was a joke. Appearance wise, they look similar. Personality wise I know they are completely different.
