I've cooked dinners a few times from these! The ones I tried were fairly simple and turned out great. I'm a horrible cook normally.

Yes, problem is the pizza is pepperoni, bacon, and jalapeño. Guess that works. I just like beer better with that combo. lol

Small world: I went to high school with Sierra. The guy I dated for most of high school was super into her, they used to hang out all the time.

For ****s and giggles, I signed up to be a research subject through ResearchMatch. The specific research I was contacted about has something to do with consuming cheese and its effect on the body. I'm going to go ahead and do the second phase phone screening. If I'm chosen after a physical, I'll basically get five months of prepared food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) and free blood work/medical tests.... and up to $500 dollars.

If the meals are decent, it may be worth doing. I'm slightly suspicious that it's a weight loss intervention though.

Not fully a rant since it's kind of good in a way (still being in the running), just an annoyance, but regarding the Disney internship--

ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS. I've been waiting for this day for months, but especially over the past few weeks now that I'm also waiting on responses from other internships I've applied to. I really wanted to know Disney's decisions THIS WEEK because I don't want to end up confirmed for another internship and then (if I'm lucky enough to get in) have to say "sorry nevermind I'm going with Disney instead, bye" I know most people will probably be understanding being that it's such a sought-after opportunity, but I don't want to have to do that to anyone. I'm not on the selection committee, but do they really need up to a month-long extension after having April 1 set as the deadline from the beginning? Whyyyy man.

Kicker was that mom woke me up early this morning to tell me I should check for the Disney decision, but I decided to wait and sleep in instead...if I had checked back then I would have found nothing, because this email didn't even get here until after 1pm 😛
Also I somehow got the feeling this would happen ("ha ha what if April 1st comes and they say they're not done yet! that'd be hilarious!") Totally psychic. They could've made this into a sick April Fool's joke

Really looking forward to hearing from my others, at least (the aquarium one said probably by next week), just was expecting Disney's news to come first so that I could plan accordingly 😛

And thank you Rocky, if not Disney's though I'd honestly be happy with any of the others 😀 My interview at the aquarium last week made me really excited for it, and then I wouldn't even have to temporarily move out of the area!

My old rabbit has an ear infection. She's been on antibiotics for a few weeks. She's been wobbly but still running around up until a few days ago. Now she just can't hop more than once or twice without flopping out and rolling. Her awful balance makes her cage difficult to navigate. To help her out, I stopped by Toys R Us today and bought a 36" kiddie pool for her to scoot around in. No corners. No wire. Lots of cozy towels and her little foam beds.

Also, no more kicking **** all over the living room when she tries to scoot-hop someplace.

In amongst all the euthanasias lately (seriously, it's just as bad as Christmas lately), I had a walk-in this morning which was a big, dumb, clumsy, adorable Pit Bull. He'd knicked the very edge of his ear and somehow managed to hit an artery. So I'd stop the bleeding, and then he'd shake his head, dislodge the clot and start squirting blood again. This led to him ending up with a ridiculous head bandage to keep his ear fixated in one place so he can't flap it around and make it bleed.

There is little that is funnier than a big blockhead adorable Pibble with a head bandage.
