Librela (acknowledge the risks/talk to your vet, this is controversial and not as well loved as Solensia)
@katiemcat I lost my Golden in April after she also developed NSAID induced ulcers. Would have had to discontinue using her meds and she physically couldn't walk without it.
I elected to not try Liberal due to the new-ish concerns for the ROA that orthopedists are seeing. I think the surgeon at Mizzou has started a study and is becoming more concerned with this new development. The ROA can happen in dogs with pre-existing dysplasia of any joint. She had severe hip dysplasia (failed surgery from puppy-hood) and elbow dysplasia. I didn't think the risk was worth it.
I did think Sadie did very well on acupuncture. Went in completely skeptical, but thought she had real measurable improvement in her strength/gait.
