Everyday I go on here and I see many students either get an interview offer or an acceptance letter. I’m happy for all of you, but I’m also somewhat sad at the same time. Sometimes I just feel hopeless. It’s February now already and I still haven’t gotten any responses from the schools that I’ve applied to except for one rejection letter. The same thing happened to me last year. I feel as if my life is just like a cycle that repeats itself every year. I’m not going to blame anyone but myself for having such low stats… I started off college on the wrong foot, and now, I guess I just have to pay for it by spending more time and money in school.

Hey man don't get down. The same thing happened to me and I'm in a similar situation. Just keep on trucking, get more experience and retake some of the classes you did poorly on if you can. There is always hope and not everyone on here has a 4.0 and is a super genius. Most of us are just normal. There is an excellent thread on here to improve your chances. The main thing they said, and I wish I knew this before I applied, is apply wicked early to private schools with rolling admissions because the 4.0 and 99 PCAT will take their time to apply. I wish you the best of luck and sometimes the struggle makes the prize even more sweet.

Don't get discourage. there is still hope since the interview sessions are not close yet. call the colleges and talk to them sometimes!!!!

Don't give up! Plenty of people I know have started school on the wrong foot, and they are in pharmacy school today. What matters now is that you are focused and you know you want to become a pharmacist. I would suggest taking classes at a community college, since it's cheaper, to boost up your gpa. Take science classes and do really well in it! Schools like to see improvement and it really shows your determination. Again, don't give up, there are still more interview dates. Just hold on tight! Take Care!

Please don't give up. Follow the advices other people tell you. Have faith in yourself and try to do the best and you'll be rewarded for your effort.

don't give up, i'm just like you. i started college with a 2.7-8 my freshman year. I almost died trying to bring up my gpa. i agree. take classes at community colleges, they are easier and gives your gpa a big boost. most pharmacy schools don't care if your classes are taken at a university or a community college, so do that. also, i started to apply back in august and have just gotten into my first pharm school today. don't be discouraged. i only had one interview offer and that happens to be the school i got into. miracles happen. pray...my stats aren't great either. i have a 3.6 with a 78% on my pcats. its reallly a miracle i got in. 🙂 don't give up keep going i wish you the best!

hey don't worry you are not alone. Everyday I check my email and race home from my job to check the mail to only be depressed. I guess the anticipation and lack of patience on my part really is a killer. I do feel the same way as you when it comes to not having the "stellar" gpa. having taken classes like Astro physics and Calculus III then received Cs when they were not required to graduate or for pre pharmacy actually seems to hurt my chances.

It is difficult to be in limbo for such a long period of time. It is even more difficult when you constantly get letters saying something in your file is still missing. so far 4 schools have contacted me even though 3 of the 4 already had the paperwork on file but it got misplaced. Or the fact that others have experienced this problem on the board, creighton keeps emailing to say the supplimental has not been completed like 3 times a week even though the deadline was Jan 8th and they did verify having the form. It is almost like the application system is mocking people.

Just try to stay positive.

Please don't be discouraged people! I've talked to so many depressed people today in school about pharmacy school application and it made me feel so sad and depressed also (although I've been depressed enough for all the waiting) I am sure it's frustrated now but there's nothing you can do now BUT to stay positive and start fixing things you think not good like retaking classes, getting involved in pharmacy...My professor tells me and other friends not to stay negative but to get up and get ready to fix things for a better future and I think we should follow his advice!
