I was wondering what the official term of the reflective disk that docotrs wear on their heads. I know it is not worn in present day, but I think they used to in the past. Thanks for any help

I don't know what they're called but ENTs still wear them. Funny looking thing.

They are called head mirrors. They were used to provide light to instruments prior to the prominence of electricity (i.e., they focused the ambient light to a specific point). They helped lighting for surgeries, etc.

I don't know why you would want one, but... The last two are available for about $5 (as of right now) on eBay. Just search for 'medical head mirror'.
