Random very frustrating ETS issue

Ok. I have already emailed ets twice and received no response so I thought I would throw this out to the forum.

I took the general gre last yr. A couple months ago, I used the ets online system to request my scores be sent to schools. I used my online registration/ confirmation # and had no problem.

This November I took the subject test. I wanted to wait and see how I felt about the test before sending so I logged into their system after the fact (forfeiting my 4 free) and sent scores to half my schools (with early deadlines). Unfortunately I could not send all due to budget. Now I am trying to log on again and send the rest. I have tried to log on about 10 times and every time I get the msg "Your request could not be processed.The following information does not match our records. Please try again. Contact GRE Services for assistance." I get it when I used the registration # for my general test OR my subject test. I have confirmed that the #s I am using are correct.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Any ideas on what to do next- maybe order by phone? Time is of the essence here.

This happened to me last year when I was trying to order my scores for the general test online. I ended up having to do it over the phone instead. This year, it works for me when I put in my subject test confirmation number, but I haven't tried my general test confirmation number. My recommendation is to either call ETS tomorrow to ask them about it or just do it by phone.

Thanks kbean. It makes me feel better to know it is not just me. I was beginning to fear that they had lost my scores or something.

I thought I would run into the same problem if I did it by phone but it sounds like you don't need a registration # when you call, correct?

Also, someone said ordering by phone takes longer to get to schools. Is that right?
 
Nevermind, just found out you cannot use the order by phone service til you have received your scores initially, which I have not.

I guess a call to ets is in order.

I recommend handling any score reporting by phone for the near future. (and I think you want to feed the system your Subject Test reg. number at the start so that it contains both General and Psych Scores.)

I tried to do an online order immediately after my Subject GRE score arrived by mail and their interface crashed right after I entered my credit card. I called them up the same day and their customer service strongly recommended I send all my scores by phone this season, citing the unreliably of their (newly refurbished?) online reported system.

Good luck! For what it's worth, the agents I talked to said they were handling a lot of frustrated calls this year regarding online system issues.

Oh man, I still have a bunch of score reports to order, and I HATE the phone system. I might still take my chances with that one.

Unfortunately, the phone score reporting system is handled through keypad presses. (I kept a spreadsheet of the schools and 4-digit codes in front of me to keep sane through the input and voice confirmations.)

The customer service people I spoke to were at a separate extension. To their credit, they were super friendly and re-assured me that my earlier online credit card glitch was flagged by ETS to be fixed this week.

Sorry if my phrasing was ambiguous before. I still think phone reporting is the safest way to go right now!
 
i think right now is their busiest time... so it might take a little longer than their 5 days stated.

i ordered 2 more about a week and a half ago and I still haven't gotten the mail confirmation.
 
Ok, for what it's worth, this thread reminded me that I need to order more score reports. When I went online to do it, now my subject test confirmation # doesn't work, but my general one does, which is exactly the opposite of what it was before. Go figure.
 
i have been trying to call ets all day and they are not taking phone calls??? one of my dec. 1 deadline schools never received my scores and i sent them over a month ago and i just keep getting the automated vm that says ets is experiencing problems and not taking calls at this time? is that a joke
