I think it's a hard call because the programs are pretty diverse. There's big county (USC), the little county (Harbor UCLA), the community program (Kaiser), the community academic program (Cedars), and of course the traditional academic programs (UCLA, UCI, UCSD), not to mention the smaller community programs (White Memorial, Kern, etc).
It all depends on what you as an individual would want out of training. I know some people in my class who are dead set on working hard at the county, and then others who would prefer the Kaiser setting. It also depends on whether fellowship is what you want because places like Kaiser are more geared to set you up for private practice.
