Given the recent discussion on Tulane's accredidation, and the concern over UCLA's probation, I thought I'd ask what everyone thought about ranking programs on probation, or those that were only given partial accredidation, etc.
My interest in it is mainly that I liked my visit to UCLA and like L.A. itself, but am wondering if it is a bad idea to match to a program on probabtion, in terms of its reputaion potentially being soured, its teaching/atmosphere not being the best (causing the probation) and its future in general.
Anyone else interview at places on probation, etc? What are your thoughts on those programs, and on UCLA, and ranking such programs? Many PDs on the trail ahev said that you should only go to "programs with full accredidation"- what's your take?
TIA
