Hello,
OK, maybe this has been asked before but I couldn't find it on here.
I'm a little confused about the ROL and how it works. As I understand it, I am able to rank programs in my order of preference and also programs rank those they interviewed in order of preference. Then the best match between the two is where I get matched. So, for example, if I rank Program A as my number 1 choice, but they rank me number 10, and Program B ranks me number 5, and I rank them number 2, does that mean I will be matched to program B?
Does it really favor the applicant over the program?
If you don't like a program, should you rank them at all, just in case you don't match anywhere else?
Thanks a lot!
