😡😡😡 OMG!!! What a DAY! I swear if this city implodes on itself and takes my workplace with it, it wouldn't bother me in the least.
Reader's Digest:
Tried to squeeze in a little studying on the train - got squashed between 2 very space needy individuals and had to keep my elbows folded across my chest with my backpack up my nose. And this was before 7am!!!
Was taking a dog down to surgery (in my arms because my dimwit coworkers put our one and only transport cart behind a ton of equipment which I couldn't move because some other dimwit blocked the door with more equipment that had no place to go) and then the elevator stopped... Some idiot stood there holding the door open with her back to me while continuing to have a conversation with some other person in the hallway. I almost had to literally kick her out of the doorway just to make it to the surgery floor.
Surgery was a NIGHTMARE!!! K9 stable, but a circus all around us - it's days like these when I despise being in research. I actually had to lecture three people on how they're
NOT to eat and drink
inside the OR. Really?!?!
My boss then comes to said circus to check on things; and then informs me that they're making me work the overnight shift on my ONLY day off before my ochem final for NO REASON. We were supposed to have a meeting with some big wig and I simply just had to be there. And now??? Well, it's been canceled... GRRRRRRRRRRR.
😡😡😡
Had a small 'emergency' about 8 hours in and needed something three floors up (that we should have had on the floor - yet more dimwittedness)... Find my knee is locked - can't run up the stairs - so grab the elevator... It stops (again ironically on the same floor from the am) and one of the floor staff attempts to pull the emergency stop so they can load a ton of racks into it and jam me into the back. I did my best to keep my cool; but was working on 1/2 a banana and 4 sips of coffee from 8 hours earlier, so I admit I was a touch short... Well, they went a runnin' to
their boss (who I had it out with because I had to climb over 4 pallets of junk to get to my procedure room) and complained that I was 'mean'... Said boss comes to find me to say that I need to 'clam down' and attempts to give me a lecture on how I'm making everyone in the facility dislike me. Well, la de da da! Screw you, Jack!
Finally get out of my nightmare after 11 nonstop hours, dash to the train, and can't find a seat because of whiny pushy holiday shoppers. I'm the one in scrubs; you'd think I would get preference for a seat. Oh no, they're just
'too tired' from all that shopping to stand. Boo-feakin'-hoo.
Hearing my rejection from CO on Friday should be a perfect capper to my no doubt fabulous week!
My apologies for the deep rant and thanks for listening...
Aw Dangit!!! I was so annoyed when I got home that I forgot
The Sing-Off was on!! I missed the first hour plus!! Dang-it!!!
