What in the world did you pay $1600 for an online class for? What class is it? 😱

Animal nutrition.... They don't offer it at my undergrad. I wanted to drop if after I got into a couple schools that didn't require it, but they only offered a $150 refund... I figured it would be better just to learn some things for next year. $150 is kind of a slap in the face after 1600... But now I have no motivation to finish it haha

You have to make your mind up right now with a clear mind. Bc when he shows up your mind won't be clear. Whatever your decision is, you have to make it before he shows up, and you have to be strong enough to follow through with it if he does.

And PP, the first love is definitely hard. Mine just told me he has good chance if being in Canada over the summer doing stuff for med school (hes from germany/ the uk) and I feel like if I don't see him I'll regret it but I know it will confuse me at the same too.

I hate calculus with a fiery passion and lots of big fat tears. I'm pretty sure I just failed another quiz, and that's not okay. Currently trying to figure out how/if I can withdraw...but it's technically a co-requisite for physics, which is my last vet school requirement, and I'm not sure if they'll let me drop calc and keep physics. Do I really need to know how to integrate trig functions?

DONT GO BACK! as someone who did this recently, this is an emotional spot to be in, but i bet it isnt as emotionally exhausting as being with him. i recently ended a friendship with my best friend. i loved him and there was no way it would ever work, and after 5 years of awkward friendship/more than friends/dating/repeat, i just knew i had to say goodbye. i miss him every day and it's been 3.5 months now, but it feels better than what used to be. i just cant do it anymore, and i on average feel better without him there.

the hardest part is saying you're are truly never going to contact him ever again and that you dont want to be friends. hopefully he's great like my friend and respects that. put yourself first. your health, your happiness (even if you're not over-the-moon happy that he's gone, i promise that the summation of the emotional toll of him being there will not be better than without him period)

I am so tired of my crappy circulation. I'm even more tired of being told it's idiopathic. Next appointment with my internist is March 18. On Dec 18 he told me I had stupidly low blood pressure, but he's pretty sure there's no reason for it. He did send me for blood work (TSH, cortisol, ANA) and an echocardiogram (apparently I have a pulmonic murmur no one's ever caught before). I've had them done, but of course, I won't get the results until I see him, and I'm not expecting anything to come of it.

Anyone else think it's ridiculous that some people haven't heard anything WHATSOEVER from Penn yet? It is bizarre how they do their applications "in batches" so some people are accepted and rejected before others are even interviewed. It is late February and I had 2 interviews early this month. I have written off Penn because I haven't heard anything and they are kind of rude when you call ("look at the e-mail we sent you in late November.").
Of course I will still probably go to an interview, but it is just insane to make people wait this long.

I'm pretty annoyed by this, mainly b/c at this point (from what I've heard), if they offer you an interview, it will be a week after they call you about it. Which is not a lot of time at all to plan your travels if you're coming from OOS. 😡

I had an interview with Mississippi on 2/12. I thought it went fantastically. I was very hopeful that I would get an acceptance.

I. have. heard. NOTHING. I now wish to drink excessively to drown it out. I'm scared that it is going to be a rejection.

I still have an interview with Auburn (contract) coming up but I really liked Mississippi (OOS). This is my 3rd application cycle. I am not a spring chicken.

Explained to doctor that I have had this feeling of pressure in my upper left abdomen since I woke up this morning... there was nothing visibly wrong in the area at all... so I figured.. no big deal, kind of ignored it.. probably just feeling odd. Then told him that when I went to get in the shower this the entire upper part of my abdomen was covered in small bruises..

Doctor does all usual things... BP, HR, O2 Sats..all normal... then he looks at the bruising and goes... well I don't know what that is... your bloodwork from over a month ago was normal so I don't see any reason to re-run that... not sure if that is bruising, but it looks like it... I have never seen this before, let me have another doctor look.... other doctor looks says same thing...

Their brilliant conclusion: Here is an rx for an anti-fungal cream... have a nice night.....



And this is why I refuse to see doctors... they drive me insane... yes, that anti-fungal is really going to help the bruises on my abdomen and looking at bloodwork from nearly six weeks ago is a great indicator as to what is occurring in my body right now... 😡😡

Having a rough week in clinics. We have been in the same group of 3 people for 8 weeks. We have a total of 9 weeks together. One girl is doing hardly any work. Wasn't showing up on time, keeps leaving early, didn't contribute much to our group project. What's frustrating are that the clinicians don't notice any of this. Also, some of the things she is saying about her patients - "If he dies, I won't have to come in early" - are terrible. Today she threw a fit because I told her I couldn't do her 8 pm treatments so she could leave early. I had my own colic case to deal with and so she threw a little fit. And then proceeded to try and guilt me into doing her work for her with, "Don't worry about it, I can do it" when the conversation had been completed already. Of course, later there was the awkwardness of her stalking past me and slamming doors when she saw me nearby.

I would be highly miffed if someone like that was in my group, and I'm kind of annoyed that she made it into vet school at all when there's plenty of people that would love to be in clinic days. By this time I'm sure you've graduated but nonetheless, that's messed up.

This happened to me when I started on SSRIs. I had a lot of small bruises all over my body, but not in one location. That is scary. I hope you are okay.

did he recommend drinking orange juice? the MD i saw last fall (when I clearly had a respiratory infection) told me that my issue was that i wasn't drinking enough orange juice. because OJ has an anti-bacterial effect on the lungs and sinuses (yeah yeah vitamins, thats not where this was headed)

so to add to their brilliant conclusion, drink orange juice and try that antifungal cream, and your bruising should magically disappear 🙄

Not leaning... they are not raised.... Literally looks like someone just kept poking me with their finger over and over again in various places... it is odd.

It looks better today.. the bruises are lighter/appear to have faded a little, but the quantity of them has increased... so went from about 40 or so to about 70 of them now... it is very odd... oh well, not going to worry about it.

Feeling really overwhelmed right now 🙁

I need to send out my wedding invitations (and need to decide if its cheaper to ship home for them to mail or just mail from Canada). I need to approve the proof for the last batch of RSVPs. I need to schedule an appointment for two medical tests for my summer position. I need to complete the form for the summer position but I have a lot of questions about it and I feel silly emailing the guy about them plus its already been a couple weeks and I feel guilty for not having done it already. Then I need to have a friend scan the documents to email to him. Then I go to look up the other summer position I wanted to apply to (the PAID one...) and it isn't posted and I'm starting to freak out and wonder if it was already posted and then closed but the (totally unhelpful) email from the coordinator lady says it would be posted sometime in "February or March". Not to mention that all of the links for it I had bookmarked are now not working and useless.

Oh, and midterms. Let's not forget midterms. asdkljsdflkjaslkj.

I'm sure you've done your research, but you were taking a new medication, right? Could be an allergic reaction or even small internal bleeding? (you did say you blacked out recently, right?) I would seriously go to a different doctor, ASAP.

I was taking a new medication... nearly 5 weeks ago... stopped it when it caused horrible side effects...

Yeah... I fainted about 10 days ago.. it was nothing.

I went to the ER and the doctor didn't seem concerned at all... just found it really odd... said everything felt normal (spleen, liver, etc) and he had never seen anything like this... but he was not concerned and they seem to be fading now... so I am not worried about it at this time...

Honestly, I feel fine... other than some pressure in my abdomen (which has lessened since yesterday) and the odd bruising (which I think is fading).... 🙂

I have been feeding the cats Friskies wet food (in addition to EVO dry) because I can't afford a month's supply of EVO wet food cans for three cats at the current time. 🙁 Even if I took them off the dry food, my kittens are still kittens and would eat me out of house and home at this point. Even working 10 hours a week would allow me to buy them better food versus feeding Friskies and mixing with EVO where I can. Sometimes I think I should simply switch them over to a balanced RAW diet. It'd be easier on my wallet, but I don't necessarily have the freezer space/capacity to grind meat at the moment, and chicken organs are mostly what's available and I have a cat who's allergic to chicken as a primary source of protein (and not sure if that allergy would extend to the organs as well), not to mention I still need to source my RAW products and obtain my supplements in the first place. Feeding cats should not be this hard. 😡

I don't have contact with my biological mother. Haven't had any voluntary contact in over 2 years. I stopped speaking to her due to a number of things. She recently has started to contact me relentlessly because she somehow discovered that I live on my own now(I moved out almost a year ago) and from what I can gather from the 5 second phone conversations is that she thinks I am engaged(I am not) and she knows what school I go to and what classes I am currently in. Her unwanted contact has really, really upset me. 🙁 I have 2 mid terms on Wednesday and I cant focus enough to study.

It doesnt bother me really that she is trying to contact me, it just bothers me because I know that someone must be feeding her information, and I do not know who it is.

I know that Evo's novel protein food can be expensive (one of my guys is on their wet duck right now with royal canin dry DP). Have you tried natural balance? I know they have a duck and pea formula and last time I calculated the price per ounce it was cheaper than evo. I wish I could switch my cat but he's a picky jerk so he gets what he wants.
