I will say that Canadian Netflix is nice because it has quite a lot of brand new releases. . . but that's pretty much all they have. Plus that extension also allows me to get American Pandora, Amazon, etc. It's my Canadian lifesaver.

According to their website, it's not supported in Canada. Which is ridiculous IMO...it worked fine up until I updated my phone, then it must have realized we weren't in the US anymore. Apparently you get 2 weeks of spotify abroad before it won't work anymore as well. I had to "borrow" a US IP address to renew my subscription 😀

Ah gotcha. I'm surprised it's not supported in Canada...although I should have known that that's what the winky face meant. I considered doing that when I was in the UK since Hulu, etc didn't work. The bf at the time had some account with a company based in Germany or Switzerland for downloading, so he just let me use that, so it all worked out.

this is so incredibly selfish, but i dont understand why it had to be my dog and has to be me that is left without her. i am so jealous of all my friends and classmates with all their pets. facebook is just continually rubbing it in my face. i only had her for 9 months. why dont i get all the years like other people?

Not selfish at all, you're allowed to be angry and feel gypped.
 
I feel like I shouldn't have to rewash the dishes after my roommate borrows my kitchen stuff. Finding my dishes put away with crusty food and grease all over them grosses me out though.

My cat is super finicky, but it is worth a try for a day or two. She will only eat one flavor of one brand of cat food...and sometimes, she won't eat a batch if the flavor is off and I have tomboy a new case of food. Show will literally stop eating for a few days.

Looks like either multiquote is gone or there is some trick.
I have not seen many web redesigns that I like...partly because we humans don't like change, but partly because there is no discernible improvements while old useful features disappear. Always get used to it eventually I guess. But for now....this bites.

I agree, it's rare when a website changes its interface to something I actually like. I throw a bit of a hissy fit ever time Facebook does a redesign. 🙄

Still, this new SDN feels very clunky. Did anyone else notice that there's now a "like" button on every post? That will certainly be interesting . . .

EDIT: omg, even the emoticons are different. What the F is that?! I want the old rolling eyes guy back.

Personally I think they should have added a DISLIKE button. Now THAT would be an improvement!
 
Bummed because our entire class has plans to chill out and relax tomorrow after our last midterm and my group is getting our case study for which we have to make a presentation on Friday. No fun for us 🙁

ahhhhh thats how i feel when my roommate washes dishes too!!! i never realized what a tricky skill washing dishes well with enough soap was!

I'm in your group and I too am relaxing after 4:30 tmr. No reason S&F can't wait until Tuesday. We'll meet up, we'll chat and then we can get cracking on Tuesday to our assigned roles. I think it would be good for you to take a much needed break.

Definitely this. (where is the thumbs up emoticon when I need it??)

Our group basically just talked about our topic in class and during lunch on Monday, decided who would cover each section of the presentation, then went off to do our own research and reconvened Tuesday night to refine our plans. Pretty sure I spent an hour Googling my subject, said 'Yup, I can talk for three minutes about this" and then was done for the night. We ended up having to totally revamp our presentation in the middle of the week anyway because the professors wanted us to cover different material. So you can totally take Monday night off without any repercussions.

*sigh* I know you guys are right.

I just won't be able to fully relax until this week is over too. Actually, who am I kidding, there will be no relaxing until after finals since I've basically ignored everything we've been doing since midterms started. 😛

I'm also really bummed about the lack if a thumbs up emoticon. Somehow the like feature doesn't have the same effect.

I totally forgot with the impending phys midterm!

ETA: I told landlord in no uncertain terms that I was not happy with the arrangement they had in mind, and I had intended on renting my current apartment through May. Also told her that I was looking at other apartments...which really lit a fire under her butt. Apparently they are financially dependent on my rent because she told me I could stay right where I am. I haven't quite decided if I'm going to or not.

She also made a snide remark about my bird making noise during the day, which ticked me off a little bit. I told her that I can hear every conversation she and her husband have and that if I was going to make an apartment out of part of my house I would have paid a bit more attention to the soundproofing. I was extremely up front with her about the possibility of noise when I was looking into this place and she insisted that during the day was not an issue as long as it wasn't at night. Quite frankly I'm not sure what she was thinking since I just found out the guy who lives in the basement apartment has never been allowed to get a dog.

Not sure if I should wait it out or book.

If they're so financially dependent, maybe they shouldn't be such jerks to their tenants. It would certainly be a wake up call for them if you did leave.

I'd recommend booking, but then I've already done that. 😛

My younger IG back in the hospital. Started having seizures to go along with his IBD.... Was kind of shocky.
Meanwhile, I drove all the way back to Philly because it didn't seem time sensitive, and I guess I just trust Penn Vet more than some random ER I never heard of (that was still 25 minutes away).

That time when almost nothing you studied appeared on the exam but everything you glossed over as "unimportant" was on it...FML
 
i am so done with and tired of the grenada rainy season. so much rain lately! rained our entire day "off," it's been causing my door to swell and be extremely difficult to open, its ruining fun plans, it rains the second i walk out the door in a dress and made up to give a presentation, and it cancelled my night dive for halloween tonight. go away rain, i'm ready for some dry season love!
 
Of COURSE I knocked my laptop off the bed this morning and messed up the charging port. Of COURSE it's try days before an exam and if COURSE all of my notes are on it (my only computer) because I am a freaking mess of a human being.

Ugh. So sorry Abs. I know how much that sucks. I spilled water on my laptop last year in the middle of midterms. And just last night, my dog jumped on my computer and knocked it off the little table/footstool I was using ask a desk. He's lucky he's cute and that the computer started back up again.
