I'm the same way. Much rather stay home and binge watch Netflix, read, or play a video game than go out partying. For New Years I'm usually home with my family. Though I tend to be a night owl so staying up late isn't anything special haha.I'm only 22 and I have never been in party mode 🙁 Part of it is due to my never-ending exhaustion (sleep apnea + mysteries problems). The other part is the fact that college bars/partying have never been my thing. And now I'm in Orlando, where the bars are prime spots for middle aged men to get drunk girls my age. I couldn't even sit down before some creep was on my tail. I prefer to stay home and always have. I think I'm an old soul haha

i'm 25 (and yes, those 3 occasions encompass ALL 24 NYEs of my life haha)
I get that they have to sign up more participants than they can take because some might not pass the physical, but I was NEVER warned to get there early because it was on a first-come first-serve basis. In my multiple conversations with them over the past few months, I was given the impression that assuming I passed the physical, I definitely had a spot on the study. I told some girl in the office how disappointed I was, and I guess they ended up signing up a lot more people at the last minute. Her attitude was kind of like "you should have known this wasn't a guaranteed thing," but this was my first time trying to do something like this, so I didn't know, and I feel very mislead.
