I am aware of "repeat weekly" and the like but I have a couple classes that meet some weeks and not others, or which meet in one room one week and a different room the next week, etc so it takes forever to do.

Update: Found a way to restore deleted events and found some other events that also got deleted for no reason. Glad that's fixed.

So I found out today why my calendar got deleted.

My boyfriend offered to play Pokémon GO on my account for Community Day because I was going to be traveling during that time. So he logged on to my Google account on his mom's phone and played with his account on his phone. Afterward he logged me off and gave it back to his mom.

A couple days later she saw some events appear on her calendar out of nowhere, so she deleted them.

Turns out my boyfriend didn't totally remove my account from her phone so my Google Calendar synced to hers. He figured it out when his mom mentioned how she kept getting events popping up on her calendar like "pharmacology" and asked if she should delete them again and he was like DEAR GOD NO.

Side note/ asking for advice: I have an interview at the end of the month for Washington, I am OOS, so the odds that I get accepted aren't stellar. It would cost ~$500 to fly out there from the east coast, rent a car, stay in a hotel, etc.
I am currently on Davis' waitlist, #7, it is my IS and my dream school. The odds are good that I'll be moved off of it, but it's not set in stone that I'll get off of it.

Should I spend half a grand to interview at Washington?? Is it worth it?? I'm leaning towards no, but people I talk to say I should go despite my standing on Davis' waitlist.

Are you looking at flying into Spokane? It’ll be way cheaper than Pullman. Like mixy said there is a shuttle from the airport. It picks up right in front of the Vet school, and is ~$40 each way. If you stay at the Marriott residence, they have a shuttle you can request that will take you to the school. It’s also only about a 10 minute walk from the school if you wanted 🙂

I booked everything after posting here - I'm indeed flying into Spokane, and renting a car ($10 more than the shuttle, with the flexibility should my flights go all wibbly wobbly). Now that the 'decision' is out of the way, I'm really excited to go! Thanks for the hotel recommendations too!
 
For people who tend to over-analyze MC questions and convince themselves a wrong answer is right, I’ve heard that it may help to cover up the possible answers with a piece of scratch paper. Read the question and come up with your own answer first. Then remove the paper and pick the answer that best matches what you came up with. I don’t personally do this but I know at least one classmate has been helped by this strategy.

Good luck at your interview! Pullman isn’t my favorite place, but I do really like my school. The interview is really laid back overall 🙂

I've always been curious about this - does it come out even if the exams are shredded and recycled after the review period? I'm also not sure scantrons are recyclable :thinking:

I should ask the professor I work with, she is very invested in sustainability measures and would probably know if it's recyclable. I was wondering since generally colored paper isn't recyclable.
 
I hate life. SO literally just got a job a few months ago. It's not great but it's something. Things were starting to settle down, we were getting a handle on our bills and shifting more responsisibility on to him and his paycheck as his medical bills got paid. We were so close to having all the main bills on him so I won't have to take out any loans this next year. Then his car broke over break while I was back home. Finally we were able to get it into the dealer...now we have to get him a new car because it costs way more to fix it than it's even worth😡 :rage: Talk about trying to come up with money out of thin air. If life could quit squishing me lately that'd be great.

Same thing happened to me at the end of last semester and it sucked. Sorry. Cars are the worst🙁

How frequently can you be at half mast? We may be hiring a secondary flagpole due to the large number of shootings in this region and would love to see your resume. We also do quinceañeras.

Unfortunately we cannot "fite" you on government money at this time.

However, we have all filed for unemployment thanks to being furloughed and have no issue exchanging "words" with you behind your local grocery store so long as it is not on government property.

Hey, I'm in that boat with the degree. This profession is doomed, to be honest. Not that that helps you, but maybe some comfort knowing you aren't alone.

You're probably just needing to get a rant off your chest, so sorry if this is off base. But as much as I almost never advise people to bank on PLSF, it might be a really good idea if you don't work for a nonprofit already. Just make sure you do everything 100% correctly. That way, your minimal payment is low and you don't ever have to actually worry about your debt load.

If you're not pigeonholing yourself in animal related roles (or even if you are), and you're doing entry level work anyway, there are a ton of worthwhile careers out there in the nonprofit sector. And you don't need to be burdened by your debt.
 
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm sick again for like the third or fourth time since August and the second time in a month. I need my immune system to get its **** together. On the bright side, this week is a pretty easy week, no exams or major assignments.

Most likely. I'm debating going and getting some Benadryl (currently the two biggest symptoms I'm having are sore throat and congestion and there's nothing in DayQuil, etc to help with that) but it's not like I can continue taking it tomorrow morning or whatever y'know?

Twice a year, I stock up on Tylenol Cold and Flu. Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin, and Phenylephrine.

They have daytime and nighttime versions, and it’s the only thing that keeps me going on days when I feel like crap!
 
The mucinex stuff, while a little pricey, works very well, also. (Actually, we get the generic walmart version of it...keeps us both going during cedar season)

Phenylephrine nasal spray is pretty much my hero during any cold or severe allergy season. Especially before meals so you can breath while eating and taste your food haha....
